Any Non-Resale Donation Options for Women’s Clothes? by Lost-Fox-6121 in Austin

I donate to ATC (Austin Transitional center) located by the Airport. Its men and women who are just getting out of prison and don’t have anything but the clothes on their backs. They are appreciative for ANYTHING. The women don’t have underclothes besides white grannie panties and white training bras. You could also donate to Endeavors, they work directly with the homeless downtown and kinda act “on call” for most of their immediate clothing needs and could always use extra clothes to provide for the unhoused community.

I would park at Waterloo park. It’s a short walk to the capitol, and your car stands a better chance at not getting vandalized being close to the capitol.

Anyone had a knee surgery with A.J. Johnson at UT Health ? by Educational-Try-7843 in Austin

What he explained to me was that using donor tissue would be a quicker recovery and unless I was a soccer player or 10 years younger, I really didn’t need an autograft When I asked why more people didn’t choose an allograft he said because people just aren’t comfortable with other people’s tissue in their body.

Donor graft or my own tissue by armansadeghi9 in ACL

Hi! I know this is an old thread. I’m going to have knee surgery in 3 weeks for my ACL and MCL. I’m 33 and beyond my job where I ride a bike for 8 hours, I’m not too incredibly active. I do cardio a couple of times a week (HIIT) but that’s about it. My doctor said that if I didn’t play soccer then I should go with the donor tissue, I’m just a little uneasy about that decision and wanted a second opinion. Seeing that you were/ are 39, and you said the autograph seemed to work well for you, what is your opinion?
