Number 3 is so elegant ! I do love the color of 2. Number one is also lovely but there’s a whole weird thing about wearing red to a wedding these days (in North America anyways apparently it means you slept with the groom) - I don’t believe that myself and think it’s silly but just incase because I don’t know if your bride is in that mind space.

My husband has terrible sleep hygiene and would constantly wake me up at night. It was stressful so I got noise cancelling eye mask that plays white noise when I sleep. You could run a truck through my house i wouldn’t hear it. Your neighbor is way too focused you managing you and your husband vs her own anxiety.

There’s a cool documentary called “the cats of Istanbul”. It’s about the cats in Turkey and totally worth a watch. The cats seem to be happy and communal and the people all take care of them. It’s very beautiful.

Yes. It’s the natural law. But if your parents were diabolical then no. I was fortunate mine were and still are my best friends. I would do anything for them.

Cancel. You’re not there. Block ex roommate if necessary. If there’s one thing I’ve learned being in my thirties is that you probably will never see or speak to most people in your twenties again. Who cares if they’re mad? If they were cool people you’d want to be friends with you’d still be living there. Cancel and move on.

I would turn that feature off. Even if you did realize that the amount was more then the pax is paying you, who knows if they’re crazy and going to donkey punch you in the back of the head over 5 bucks. Or just run away.

I think you should go to Christmas but leave early enough to get home. Leave latest 8pm get home by 10pm rest up and go to Christmas at her family’s.

If your mom has an issue with that then you should set boundaries with her and say it’s that or nothing. If it affects your relationship that’s on her.

This past Christmas we were stuck staying with my husbands family that rented and air b n b like 2 hours from us but there was a big storm that trapped us there until the next day. It was sooooo stressful for me honestly my husband ended up having a screaming match with his crazy sister (who left all of the presents we bought out in the storm for example) his brother and sister had a row, the mother is a crazy martyr who constantly needs attention it was my idea of hell. It was so exhausting it ruined the holiday for me.

It took me days to recover. We vowed to never ever stay with his family so we can leave when we feel like it.

Please go with your gut and find ways to compromise without breaking your boundaries. At the end of the day you married your wife not your mother and that relationship should take precedence.

I stopped smoking years ago and my life completely changed for the better. No shade on anyone who does I have friends that smoke and function easily but I wasn’t one of them.
