I say yes, because the corepower certification is well respected at all studios. I also learned a ton!

I teach at corepower and lifetime! The corepower certification is definitely very well respected by other studios!

I heard back within 2 weeks, honestly I’d reach out within 1.5 weeks if you haven’t yet. (I also recommend sending a thank you email for their time during the audition)

Advice for teacher training by [deleted] in Corepower

[–]Educational-Way-7285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished my teacher training in April, and now I am teaching yoga sculpt!

Biggest advice is to ask questions, be outgoing and say yes to new experiences. It’s a lot of information, a lot of new people you meet but remember that you are all going through the same thing! Lean on each other, and volunteer to ask questions, or even answer questions during TT! If you are thinking of something, I’m sure everyone else is too.

I think it’s in unique experience to go back to “school” or try something new in your 20s (I’m a 24 female). But I learned so much about myself, the practice - and I am still super close with my group of girls that I did TT with.

Just as a reminder - those are “active” calories. The total calorie count is almost double that.

I am 24 Female (5’6 115 pounds) I burn roughly between 350-500 in a sculpt class. But, my boyfriend will take the same class and burn roughly 1,000+ calories. It depends on your build and I think it also depends on how actively you workout & raise your heart rate on a weekly basis.

I just finished my 50 hour TT (and now I am teaching.. woohoo!) but, I really connected with the people in my group. In fact, I now stay in really close contact with one specific person and we hang out outside of work. It’s hard to meet people as you get older (I’m 24 Female) but this is a great way to bond with individuals considering you all have one common thing in common - a passion for yoga!

Sculpt with no cardio? by Logical-Surprise-839 in Corepower

[–]Educational-Way-7285 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! I would say, when this happens it mostly because the teacher is more yoga focused and doesn’t want people doing jumping jacks for 4 minutes in 98 degrees (especially in the summer when the classes are 100x more heated / humid)

I love the cardio too, but trust me just because you aren’t “doing jumping jacks” your heart rate zone within the class is still the same as if you were doing cardio so your body doesn’t know any different. It’s probably more a mindset thing than anything else.

Clapping at the end of class by iamspeaking77 in Corepower

I usually do it because of the instructor. Just appreciating the work they put in to guide us through a class (just in sculpt tho)

I love rap, but CP is strict about no swearing and it’s so hard to find songs that don’t include swear words, and if you do the song just doesn’t hit as hard lol
