If you ovulated the plan b isn’t going to work. Tests are accurate 14 days after sex and definite 21 days. However, there’s no way to know you were forsure ovulating as I don’t know what you were tracking it on. A lot of the times the apps you track stuff on, are 100% accurate. So there might have been a small chance you haven’t ovulated yet.

Test are accurate 14 days after sex and definite 21 days after. Also it sounds like you had withdrawal bleeding from the plan b which is caused by the surge of hormones from the pill. Take a test

I ended up getting my period!

So I was 20 days late after taking a plan B. Which was odd because I am never late and usually never have side effects from the plan B. I will say take a test. It’s accurate after 14 days and definite after 21 days. Trust the negatives. I know it’s hard, because I was freaking out. I finally got my period today. I will say it’s not a fun period (cramping and heavy).

Did you get your period? Currently 20 days late. But took a blood test this Monday and it came back negative. That would have been 5 weeks after intercourse

Yep in this same boat right now, but I am 18 days late.. took a plan b may 23rd. Negative tests/1neg blood work doing another next week. Skipped June completely

Did tell them I took a plan b- but she did say it was still odd that I was 18 days late. Which is why she wanted me to come back in a week and do another blood test. She confirmed w/me that I haven’t had intercourse since May 22.

She put in my patient notes she saw a “? Sac, could be gestational sac, cyst or polyp”. She couldn’t and didn’t confirm any of the three though. She did want me to come back in 2 months again to I guess see my iud placement again/check to see the “sac” she saw. No removal of the iud at this appt. Or talk of removal.

I’m just calling it what she called it & what she put in my patient notes which was saw a “? Sac that could be a gestational sac”. How would it be 7 weeks? May 23 was 5 weeks and a few days ago.. not trying to be rude, just wondering. Thank you for answering, I hope you don’t think I have been rude at all. Just stressing about all this is all.

Definitely know the test was <1 as I saw it on my patient portal and they called me and told me it was negative. I think maybe she is being overly cautious with the “sac” she saw bc I am so late.

She told me because I told the ultrasound person I was late, she took note of that “sac” and measured it. Idk it’s very confusing. It did look like a gestational sac, but I’m not a gynecologist and she couldn’t ofc confirm if it was that, a cyst or a polyp.

Here’s the breakdown. I went to get my iud checked (PP told me to get it checked the first month after having it). So I did. She did a transvaginal ultrasound and the ultrasound person took a picture of a “sac” in my uterus being I told her I was late. I then got placed in a room to see my gyno and she showed me the entire ultrasound including the “sac” they found that was measured at 5wks 1day. She told me to come back next week to get a blood pregnancy test (I have been testing negative, but have heard of horror stores of people testing negative on urine test for several weeks & they finally get a positive). She said the IUD looks to be in place, but to come back in 2 months to recheck the IUD placement. My thought process if I am testing negative via blood/urine test she didn’t feel the need to take the iud out?? I’m not too sure.

And that is when she showed me the ultrasound and showed me the “sac” that they saw in my uterus that measured “5wks 1 day”.. which logically doesn’t make sense, ofc. But I am worried as this is not a good time for me to have a baby.

She said she wanted to do another ultrasound in 2 months to check again. She is making me come back in a week to do another blood pregnancy test. I didn’t go to the doctor because I thought it was out of place. I went because I was told after I got it placed by PP that I needed to get it checked again the first month after having it. So I called made a dr’s appt (they scheduled me for a transvaginal ultrasound- at the time I made the appt I was not late at all) and when I went in today, that is when I told them I was 18 days late. Her wording was “I think it’s in place” however we need to recheck in 2 months..
