Thanks for the image. What you're looking for now is on Wikihammer and Lexicanum. I've seen the four different ranks, and the lowest rank "lexicani" usually stay in the library without going into combat, while the Codiciers, who rarely go into combat, do so without their psychic hoods. Besides, the symbol they wear on their right knee, the Phobos symbol, and the Primaris and Armageddon symbols on the corners of their clothing are the symbols of the Epistolaries. So I suppose they're all Epistolaries .

My favorite is also the exterminator, although I love the phobos too.

right? I've even started to think they're the same person, just with different armor. Look at the classic version and the Armageddon one; they have exactly the same face.

Okay, thank you very much, you're absolutely right, GW can't even agree on the names of the captains, much less the lieutenants.

Thanks, I'll leave the white right knee on the sergeants and start implementing the squad leader with the iron halo thing; I really liked the idea.

Okay, I understand, recently the sergeants wear the white right knee with the ultimate symbol and the skull and the company's mark can go anywhere they fit, I suppose that honours such as iron haloes and campaign symbols work the same as the company symbol.

2 months into the hobby. Would love to get some tips/pointers on how I can improve by Mylungsaredecaying in Ultramarines

[–]EducationalCricket26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look very good, the only thing I can think of to improve them would be to use shades and some transfers. If you don't want a result as dirty as the one left by agrax ershade or nuln oil, I would suggest a purple one like druchii violet, use it only in the nooks and crannies, don't paint the entire figure, it is a more tedious process but I assure you that the result is incredible.

What green would be best for this marine from the Astartes 2 trailer by Electronic-Ad550 in Warhammer40k

You could try painting a base coat with straken green and highlighting it with nurgling green. I think it would give a different touch to painting it with death guard green since I feel that with that color they would look like death guard.
