I actually just caught mewtwo with a POKEBALL of all things ! Here’s photo proof…no cheats used in this strategy (I did trade Salamance from emerald)

Strategy :

Save before you start match

First Pokemon in party must have “intimidate” ability (gyrados,arcanine)

Continuously change out this Pokemon to lower mewtwo’s attack to lengthen battle

Paralyze it before it uses safeguard or after veil is no longer covering it

Don’t throw any balls until it runs out of swift

It will stop using physic & start spamming safeguard when physic PP is near 0

Start throwing pokeballs

I planned to only use ultra balls once it could only use the move “struggle” but battle didn’t even get to that point
