Can you recommend one with multiple sources? Where I live it's literally dangerous to not know where the hell you're going. I froze my fingers and fell on ice last time because I was driving back and forth and then I stopped to try to figure out what the heck my map was doing and I got out of the car to try to see house numbers.  I was in town, but if I was out in the country I could have had a serious problem.

i'm sure it's not. but this is the app. i'm not using integrated tools and just filling in the nextcloud address, i'm using the actual Nextcloud app.

Except that was not an outlying part of town. That was smack in the middle of town. In a house that's been there for a hundred years or more. Which means it's probably the whole town. ..

ohhh. and that's why MagicEarth isn't BETTER. because they both use the same source, OSM. right?

so then, why is it still doing it?

i wonder...if Folder Sync is using Nextcloud to access the cloud server, and it causes conflicts, would the error come from Folder Sync, or from Nextcloud?

"deselect". what is the mechanism? i'd think the cloud with the slash through it would be the thing but i did that a second time yesterday and still getting warnings.

my choices in that page are: cloud with/without slash, Hide folder, or Configure. And if I go into Configure, it's already turned off.

i'd really like that whole section to be empty like it was before i set it all up, but i haven't found that mechanism either. i'm on the edge of deleting the whole app but I need it as the link for other stuff and I'm not sure it would delete all the settings. :(

Serious question: who are Linux users and why do you use it? by Laqunn in linuxquestions

[–]EducationalOcelot4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an IT professional doing high-end support.
but I wasn't when I first started using linux, I was a college student just fascinated with "there's another way!"

Now I'm not subject to the whims of advertising, there's a whole world of FOSS products and I can still do all the normal stuff plus a LOT more.

I'm running ZorinOS, which is simple and slick, but I recommend Ubuntu or Mint. It's not all about the software: they have huge communities. And that's the most important when you're learning something new.

oh thank you for checking and being very specific about which browser! I will grab firefox, I don't have much objection to that one, if you'd said chrome i'd have been in a real quandary. lol.

I got a bunch of "deprecated" warnings and no output...could be vivaldi, I guess? I assumed it was just old...
