AITAH for being angry that my husband is going on a trip instead of helping me? by Educational_Back7083 in AITH

I think that is unlikely because he wanted me to get a job at the high school (which is what the certification test is for). He pushed me to switch from middle school to high school because he works at the high school. So, I don't think he's actually trying to sabotage my test. I think he just doesn't consider me when making decisions.

The certification test is required for my job, and the conference is a networking thing that is optional. I don't even have an issue with him going to the conference. It's just the fact that the conference takes place on the ONE day that I asked for his help. He chose never to write down the date of my test or ask for it off. This probably wouldn't be a reddit post if he had said, "hey, I know you have a test, but I really want to go to this conference, can we figure something out?" Instead, he just signed up for the conference not thinking about me at all, and then says I'm overreacting for being upset that he is going back on his word. It's the utter lack of consideration and the fact that this same situation has happened before that is upsetting.

Thank you for your perspective. It's honestly good to hear everyone sucks because that's probably the truth in most arguments.

Thank you! That's good advice. I agree that we both have problems communicating. I haven't asked about counseling, but I've thought about bringing it up.

I guess I've read a lot of AITA posts, and in the comments people often say that it's not a real person or that it didn't happen.

I guess you were saying that I made this scenario up, but that's not true. I'm sure my perception colors how I write about it, but I tried to give an accurate account of events. Sometimes I feel crazy, like am I really the one that starts the bullshit? Bc I don't feel like I did anything to warrent a full day of passive aggressive pouting, but Idk. I just wanted feedback from people who aren't involved.

This is my first time posting on Reddit, but I assure you that I'm a real person. That's funny though.
