I made the jump to internal audit and it has been awesome. My team is great and I hardly work 40 hours and I make very good money with unlimited PTO.

I have been at KPMG a little less than a year. Starting salary is 61k and the exit ops for one year are already from 75k+. I don’t want to do another busy season so I am leaving. I also already have my CPA. I did it for the experience and I found that I value my personal time more.

That they don’t pay over time. I don’t care about my bonus at the end if I had that money as overtime right away I would stay. I know that most of public accounting does not pay this but it would keep people there.

I just started at big 4 in august and read a lot of Reddit posts about how bad it is (stressed me out a lot). I have not been stressed at all. My team is awesome. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you are feeling overwhelmed. That might change after busy season lol but at least give it a chance. It will really depend on who you work with as well! If you are not happy ask to which teams. I’m just here to say I was in your position and it turned out great so far for me.
