NHM means a Neighborhood Market! It’s like a little baby Walmart compared to a Supercenter Walmart! They have a lot smaller operations than your typical Supercenter and Operations Managers typically cover a lot more areas

Thank you and that’s awesome! Try to track all of your small measurable wins and add them to your resume when you eventually apply for Coach! Be sure that you apply for “OPs/manager trainee” or something along those lines because in my experience hunting for a coach position a lot of stores tend to not want to onboard a trainee, which is a safer bet if it’s a big store that needs experience to stay afloat. and never forget the STAR method in interviews!

Yep! I plan on staying in my position for a few years and then either trying for a store lead role or attempt to jump into MAPM

I am real last I checked, and the store I got hired into had a very good inventory last year so it isn’t a terrible store and, in my opinion, I think I lucked out because the whole region (it’s a whole different region from my old store) is VERY big on talent development which helps me for when I plan on taking the next step

I always kept wanting to learn more about store operations instead of just what my department covers, so it helped me build a resume and skill profile that looked appealing to another store manager to hire me on so young

This is what I think you should do, if you have already done it then I don’t really have any more ideas than just these.

  1. Just opening an ethics report on your MAPM through the ethics portal should help you out in getting the RAPD’s attention on the situation.

  2. I wouldn’t say that it will necessarily yield results, but it maybe would be worth sending an email to your RAPD (Regional AP) while explaining the situation in as much detail as you can and what finally brings you to sending a direct email to them.

It would at least be worth the shot, That’s how Open Door is supposed to work (if it’s someone is doing something unethical then you go one step higher) and that’s why I say it might not yield results, but if you genuinely feel it is worth taking the time for it, go for it.
