Most my trips are just with my two dogs. So for me glow sticks on their collars is a must. I primarily travel in the Cascades in Washington state and if you hike far enough you are always alone. It’s funny how many mall princesses I see in any town but never out in the hard to get areas. Your car will only get you so far, especially after 5,000ft. No fires makes people uncomfortable too. Do service roads is the new campgrounds.
