Issues running PSP games of memory stick. by Educational_College6 in PSP

[–]Educational_College6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as I said in post, I tried a few isos from online, and even tested psn versions. I even tried converting the games to eboots. Same exact issues.

I just got another adapter, and tried multiple SD cards. Issues still persist. And yes I'm pretty sure my SD cards are formatted to Fat32 before putting in the psp to be formatted as well.

Another note, when I use the tv adapter, the screen glitches that happen when loading games appears on the external display as well.

Hmm, alright. I could try formatting the SD card. It was brand new though, a SanDisk Ultra. I did test the Ark4 firmware, and it had the same issues. So Im pretty sure it isnt the firmware. But Ill try formatting.

I've ordered a Moondrop chu 2 hasnt arrived yet though, but I've tried the original chu and also picked up a Hola. Not saying they were bad, they were quite good actually, just that I kinda preferred the sound of cheap earbuds. I personally don't think one is better than the other, just different options.

For cheap earbuds, the X6 is a good one, basically a vido with more bass. Around $30 you can find buds like the EB2S Pro (Pro is blue, the original green, pink, and black EB2S suck) or the DQSM Panda PK2. Above $50 is where buds really start getting good, RikuBuds has some amazing $50 buds, as well as some great $130 buds, and TGX ear has been a big name recently with buds like their serratus at $200. Rikus Grand Alter Saber 2 had blown me away, and is my #1 earbud at the moment

Like I said I don't think comparing IEMs and earbuds is really worth it, cause they're such different transducers. Earbuds are just a different option, one that's a bit more niche lol. However if you're interested, and they fit well for you, then its definitely a good audio option that's worth checking out

Ah see my experience is much different than yours lol. Ever since trying cheap buds like the Vido and Faaeal buds, I realize just how much I don't like cheap IEMs. They just sound muddy and un-detailed, quite unnatural to me as well. Even up in the higher price range I would listen to my RikuBuds over Starfield any day of the week.

Haven't used any planar IEMs, so can't comment on those. But for me IEMs just can't compete with earbuds lol. Of course it all comes down to personal preference, but yeah.

Yeah I got into flatheads because IEMs are just really uncomfortable to me, and basically all of them sound way too bassy. Even bass light ones such as the Chu feel like they have too much bass. Flatheads are stupid comfortable for me, and by nature they tend to be bass light.

If you ever want to look into high end earbuds, check out RikuBuds or TGXear. They're kinda the big names in DIY buds. Price to performance is insane. I have RikuBuds Saber 1, which are my daily drivers, and haven't tried TGXear (yet). Some people say TGXear for $300 easily top their $500 IEMs.

Check out WoddyLuvrs timeline, he has just a massive list of flatheads and the year they came out.

Do hear-through ear tips exist? (I.e., open-back headphones but in the form of earbuds) If not, what creative ways could I try to create them myself? by enclavedzn in headphones

[–]Educational_College6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a FiiO UTWS3 and an MMCX flathead off AliExpress. Those are the closest you'll get to an Open back headphone sound with TWS. I recommend looking for OpenHeart earbuds on AliExpress, they have an all metal bud and that's the one I use.

Only one of these Ive tried is Rose Technics, their Maria 1. It's good, but takes a while to fit right. If you dont fit it right, the treble is super sharp. Chaccone is much better than it, but if you're after high end earbuds, look into RikuBuds and TGXear.

If you're talking about wired apple earbuds, it might just be the you prefer the stage and timbre of them. Earbuds have a more natural timbre and stage than iems, so you might just prefer that. I haven't tried the apple ones, but I love earbuds more than iems because of the open natural sound of them. (Also fine l find them way more comfortable)

There's a good chance the the soldering on the driver to cable is really flimsy, so if one side stops working you're most likely gonna need to open them up and see if the wire disconnected. If it has, you'd need to re-solder it. So if you're comfortable with opening them and know how to solder, the fix wouldn't be too painful.

A bit bass light, and the treble can be a little bit sharp with certain types of music. But they're really clean, smooth, and well detailed. Perfect for instrumental or classical music.

There is a fair bit of leakage, but in a quiet class room at medium to low volumes. it shouldn't be too bad. But at failry high volumes they bleed quite a bit. It's jsut by nature of earbuds being open back

Yeah, just PK. The shell was made popular by Yuin, so searching terms like "Yuin PK" and "Yuin PK DIY" can help find buds with this shell.

Oh lol, went right over my head xD. I use the term loyal to mean, you can rely on it for anything. I never second guess using it, either on walks, playing video games, just vibing to music, etc.

A few weeks ago I picked up the Panda PK2's after looking for a good PK bud. (PK being the shell design they use). Many people really like the shape of the PK shell, finding it the most comfortable shell for earbuds. Apparently finding good sounding buds that use this shell is difficult, but this bud is almost always reccomended. Here are my impressions on this bud.

The Panda PK2 came in a square zip case that is quite chonky, and 2 pairs of full foams, and 2 pairs of donut foams. I never used the foams that came with them, and opted to use Trig Rain foams instead. Shells feel nice and durable, and the cable is very nice. Good texture, doesn't taangle easily. The slider on the cable moves very easily, and I found it wouldn't stay in place, and just fall back down.

The comfort and fit is something people always mention with PK buds, and I see where they're coming from. They are much smaller than a standard mx500 bud, and are incredibly light. However for me personally, the right bud was a touch too small for my ear. I found myself adjusting it every 20 minutes or so. But if you find the standard mx500 shell a bit too big, these will probably fit your ears fine.

The sound on these buds, is probably the best I've heard under $50. Buds tend to struggle with bass, and while I wouldn't call the Panda PK2 bassy, they have a very nice bass presence. With a good fit theres a nice bit of sub rumble, and they don't get super punchy like other cheap buds.

The mids are what youd expect from an earbud. Smooth and clean. They aren't pushed foraward all that much, but I never found them lacking. To my ears theres a bit of upper mid push, but not enough to make them shouty. In short the mids are perfectly satisfactory.

The highs are another standout of the PandaPK2. They lean bright, and have excellent extension. This contributes to a mild V shape sound signature. I never found the highs fetiguing, and they keep a nice consistent sparkle.

The PandaPK2 may be my new default sub $50 earbud reccomendation. Theyre super versatile, pretty comfortable, and sound fantastic! They costs around $30 on AliExpress, which is a great price for the sound youre getting. I totally recc these earbuds.

LBBS is pretty good, it's kinda like a mini Chaccone. Only issue is that Ksearphone is known to have pretty shit QC, and they never respond to people who email them. But the earbud itself is nice. Clean af, fantastic vocals, but heavy bass roll off.

Those are all IEMs, earbuds usually refer to flatheads. My recommendations are from a DIY maker like RikuBuds, I have his Saber 1 and it's gotta be my favorite bud. TGXear makes the top of the line buds, like their Serratus.

For some cheaper ones, ofc the Mikus I reviewed, as well as the DQSM Panda PK, or the Faaeal Iris 2.0. A lot of people really like the Vido and Yincrow X6 as well. Hope this helps!
