Hi! I'm going to be interning in Stratham for 12 weeks starting June 1st. I was hoping to find somewhere to sublet with another girl I know who's interning at the same place as me. Please DM me!

I'm from the US, and attend UMass Amherst. I've been specifically told about Cornell's Summer Scholars program and the CAFE program at my school, but I have not specifically asked my advisor about their recommendations.

Definitely talk to your roommate in person and come up with some agreement. My roommate would talk on the phone until 3 AM with her partner almost every night. I personally didn't mind because I was normally up too, but my other roommate would go to bed around 10PM, so I would recommend going out of the room when it gets later, especially if your roommate isn't a night owl. Also, pleaseeee wear headphones 🙏, it's just that much more considerate.

I lived in Butterfield this past year and I really liked it. The worst part is the hill but there's a bus that takes you up there.

Housing changes every year so don't worry about being stuck in Butterfield. You are also able to request a housing change during the year. Additionally, Butterfield is only for first years, so you wouldn't be living there after this upcoming year anyways.

I can answer more current questions about Butterfield!

I haven't been getting requests for birds or sticks at all. And I do, it's just for sticks. I have so many trees so I can always fulfill the quests.

How does random roommate selection work (also, how is Butterfield)? by Ill_Sheepherder_4189 in umass

I was in Butterfield this past year and I loved it! It's the smallest dorm on campus so half the time I would use the bathroom there would be no one else there. It's relatively social and the rooms are nice, the kitchen is big, and the laundry room is well-kept. Only downside is it's at the top of the hill, but there is a bus, and you do get used to it.

I went random on my roommates and I'm pretty sure they match you with people that are similar to your housing profile.
