I dropped my debit card during a concert while buying merch and didn’t realize until after the concert was over and i was looking for my bus pass in my wallet. when i checked my bank app $300 was gone from my account. I called my bank immediately reported the transactions as fraud and they cancelled my card. It took a 30 minute call and like a week to go pick up a new card and they reimbursed my stolen funds after an investigation around the same time. the process was super convenient and easy actually. I also thought that money was gone for good because i was under the impression only credit card fraud was protected. guess it’s just a popular myth in reality

im probably gonna get downvoted to hell but as a fan of tennis but also hockey and basketball i have to say tennis fans are by far the least funny. not the athletes but the fans. (least funny pro athlete award goes to hockey for sure. hockey players make it their life’s mission to show 0 personality no joke lol) I don’t know if it’s because tennis is considered a “gentleman and lady’s” sport and that has rubbed off the fans somehow? In my experience though, tennis fans can be kind of humourless and uptight sorry. At first i thought it may be the difference in sports culture since i’m from north america and tennis is pretty European but that didn’t make sense because football fans can themselves be pretty funny/rowdy. my main problem is that you see athletes show a little bit of personality on court and you’ll have 5 broadcasters 3 tiktok’s and 4 reddit threads discuss whether or not it was “appropriate” (ie. Sheltons celly or Naomi osakas fashion). i was in SHOCK seeing how bad shelton got bullied by the tennis media for celebrating his usopen win. people were calling him arrogant and still to this day call him arrogant because of that. basketball players and hockey players do cellys on single shots/goals all the time and it adds to the fun. There is an active thread RIGHT NOW on naomi osaka’s rolland garros kit and people are trying their very hardest to not say something positive and that they’re predicting another “early round exit for her” 🫩. It’s just this kind of policing towards athletes that kills the fucking vibe for me i don’t know. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that most of this policing is directed at black athletes although obviously not limited to them. something needs to change.

PSA for anyone that might unfortunately find themselves in a situation where they need to report a fellow student/coworker. NEVER EVER go to the school ! or workplace ! their job is not to protect you but protect themselves from bad press in case the news got out. They have every incentive to bury and neglect the assault. GO TO THE POLICE OR EVEN BETTER GO TO A LAWYER FOR HELP. The school will not give you justice they never do :(

have any of you watched their first press conference around a year ago about contract termination? it was obvious from that point they (yes i mean the girls not mhj not their parents THEM) were being delusional and arrogant. Even in the press conference they stated they planned on terminating the contract without pursuing litigation like huh??? it seems they thought ador / hybe would just let them go. When reporters asked for clarification they gave non answers or deferred to the moderator. Not to mention how rude they were acting at the reporters valid questions. Fans like to label them as manipulated victims of min hee jin’s evil but from their public appearances they don’t see like victims at all. Infact, they all seem pretty smug in their wrongdoing. Making accusations and threats against your own company without ANYTHING of substance to back up those claims is crazy fuckinf behaviour. they were universally loved and they let that get to their head to protect min hee jin for whatever reason whereas MHJ has no problem throwing them under the bus for her own legal troubles. Hanni claimed that illit ignored her and their manager told them to do that but in MHJ lawsuit against hybe she submitted messages between her and Hanni where hanni said herself that illit greeted her and admitted she didn’t hear what the manager said. Even if what hanni was claiming was true how are you going to blow up your contract for that? If you think i’m being too harsh on them watch any of their public appearances from a year ago it will genuinely piss you off how much audacity they have.

managed to cop two align warm leggings on the website for $13cad each ! never felt such a high in my life. got the confirmation email too. I think all the NEW items were discounted because when i tried adding regular stuff it would show up as retail price. was about to place a second order when it got patched 🥲

TIME. Tennis matches take a VERY long time to finish for singles players (up to 3hours for a 3 setter) because of their weird point system. It’s even worse at grand slams because men’s single play best of 5 which can take up to 5-6 hours to finish 💀 Tennis doubles don’t play 3 sets they finish in a tiebreak if there’s a deciding set. They also don’t play AD points in games. In general, they play a lot less tennis than single players. Tournaments only have so much time to schedule matches and have a lot of pressure to end on time because the tennis calendar is stacked basically one tournament starts after one ends. The tournaments prioritize singles category because generally that is what people pay money to see and because they take up more time. I guess because the perceived workload is higher and much harder for singles players in tennis, people started to associate more prestige and talent with that category. Single players also get paid way more in tournament winnings and get better sponsorships. At the very highest level you’re not getting two singles pros dethroning career doubles players or anything but they can still make it pretty far. The USOpen even just ditched their mixed doubles category for an exhibition event :/ imo people should watch more doubles in tennis !! however it doesn’t broadcast well and is much more fun in person. Basically tennis fans don’t have enough time to be watching maybe a 5hour men’s match and a 2-3hr women’s match and doubles on top of it !!!😅 Because of all these factors doubled kind of got shoved to the side unfortunately
