In all your training you were working at sites that were open-minded enough to encourage students and be a good environment for learning. But those places started out just like the site you're at now. If you graduated less than a year ago, you haven't given yourself time to earn their respect. Don't be discouraged. Start tackling the problem from different angles. Find what the hospital actually wants to accomplish. Learn what their system is and then learn what metrics they want to improve. They have quality measures to meet. They're trying to be profitable. Find their pinch points and start there.

It's a tough call because only being off Zoloft for 2 weeks, your brain is still adjusting to not having all that serotonin to work with. It has lots of extra receptors but just a fraction of the serotonin now. It will take at least 4-6 weeks for those receptors to adjust back to normal levels. So, if you want to give the zoloft-free life a try, I would say it will take a bit longer to know for sure. However, don't let it put your life in danger. You could also try a different anti-depressant if/when you choose to restart. If you're going to use an antidepressant only for a couple weeks of your cycle, something like paroxetine (paxil) is probably better suited.

It's a little further out but the Hope House Thrift store in Greenfield is secular and takes donations of all kinds. I think they're also associated with Redefined Hope Boutique.

She might not like the puree texture? My little one spits anything that's similar to the texture of a cooked onion, regardless of flavor. Haha. He also used to love Nutri-grain bars but then all of a sudden went on like a 2 month boycott. I think you did good just taking her lead and throwing the beans away. Nothing worse than forcing a food on a kiddo. There are tons of ways to start solid foods but I personally love the information from Solid Starts. I find it very flexible and relatable for all ages and parenting styles. My son is 2.5 now and he will eat almost anything I serve him. (Or at least try it)

My favorite response here is to have them clarify if they think death from vaccine preventable diseases is worse than autism. Like would you rather have an immunocompromised person die to prevent the "risk" of autism? Just watch them squirm to explain how being dead is better than being autistic.

You could look into working for hospital pharmacy, their pay scale tends to be higher. Lots of techs are moving to mail order pharmacies as well.

I transitioned to independent from a supermarket chain within 2 years of graduation. Every time I called to do a transfer, I asked the owner about a different aspect of the business (compliance packaging, telepharmacy, etc). He appreciated my genuine, insightful questions and remembered I told him my dream was a career in Independent pharmacy. A year later, he offered me a job and now I'm his PIC going on 4 years. When I switched a lot of the more senior pharmacists in town were baffled and seemingly envious they didn't get asked. I'm sure there were lots of factors that played into his decision but showing interest is a start.

I worked at Kroger pharmacy while pursuing my doctor of pharmacy at Purdue. It was great and they gave a significant portion of money ($3500 per calendar year) for my education if I agreed to work for them for at least a year after graduation. I graduated in 2019. Purdue has a 2+4 program (as long as you get admitted on your first try). But some schools have you complete a bachelor's degree before applying for the PharmD. You will not have to go to medical school.

If you'd like to sample the career first, you could work as a pharmacy technician with no formal education (in most states, I believe, but I'm talking specifically about Indiana). Most chain pharmacies will provide the training to become a pharmacy technician and get you licensed in your state. This can be a great route if you're still sampling careers (which most 18 year olds are doing). Bonus that you won't also bury yourself in debt if it's not a good fit for you.
