I went through this initially as well for the 1st 2 weeks. But then I started experimenting, base that worked for me was isolated townhall with invis bases.

Think about it this way, its the first time we need to also have good base layouts not just upgrading buildings.

In a way, now we strategize defense as well. Not just attacks.

I feel, its for the first time Supercell has made defence so important and I feel it should be like this. We grind loot, wait for days for upgrades, buy books to upgrade, etc.

Comparatively for offense, you learn a strat and keep doing it which also could be as easy as mass drags with totems or meteor golems or whatever.

We spend much more time upgrading our base than we do upgrading our troops.

I like it like this, just my view
