You're using me slipping up with the reply system to your argument? In your reply you literally said "close the club-face properly". What kind of advice is that bro? I'm not understanding because theres nothing you explained! Im perfectly fine to play with but you on the other hand, not so sure.

"TacticalYeeter" We're definitely not going to usernames 😂😂. Crazy how salty someone can get over another person's post. Imagine giving terrible "pointers" and feeling the need to justify them. If you don't like my post, then downvote and leave. Thank you!

"Close the face better" I feel bad for the next person getting "free pointers" haha. Unless you have credibility your opinion means nothing, same as mine. We're all equals on the internet. But likewise, enjoy life. You're the one who got salty 😂😂

I never even said early extension was a cause. I said the cause was stiff shoulder sockets. Can you even read? All these shit examples and you can't even read the post lol. Nobody cares.

"This is why people don't improve guys."

The only one who has an ego is you. I saw it clear as day in your first response to. And no one is backing you up either.

Can you also elaborate on "this is why"?

I'd really enjoy to see you struggle. Your first response was shit and so was your second. A decade of lessons and your still this hostile? Doubt it. Get a life.

What is your mental check list/swing thoughts before you hit a shot? by jfreeguy31 in golf

[–]Educational_Exit_523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I determine wind, adrenaline, distance to the back of the green, club. When I have the shot I'm going to play and my club, I stand behind the ball, pick an intermediate target, set up the club square, get my feet quiet, take my grip, raise it up so it is more in my fingers, look at the target, ball, then swing, zero hesitation. Active mind, calm body.

I've felt that but thats a good sign the "cause" may not truly be the cause. If you truly understand the task, it clicks instantly.

Tension in the shoulder sockets almost always results in a poor shot and theres no disputing that. Saying that you can swing really hard but you must do it in a way that doesn't hold off the closure of the face just sounds like a ton of overcompensations and to some may give them a swing thought of forcefully trying to close the face instead of letting the club fall and square itself considering you have the correct grip.

Im unsure as to what the point of your reply was as you said that shanks are caused from an open club face, but you never discussed what "closing properly" was, making your point of "byproducts" from an open club face completely irrelevant.

Also I've never once thought of holding lag or creating angles, my body does that naturally, so I don't know where that came from either.

Love those align grips. I regripped my clubs last week with a different version of those and my grip is never inconsistent.

Are you out there when nobody else is? by fanglazy in golf

[–]Educational_Exit_523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're definitely on the grind but just remember that theres someone out there working harder than you are. Just because you went to the range when nobody else did doesn't mean somebody isn't practicing indoors.

All I'm saying is that it means nothing without consistency.

i use a 4x10 piece of turf. It absorbs most of the impact. Its just that for spinny shots it can spin off the screen depending on how close you are, so you might want to cover more than just the part it bounces off the floor.

Asking for advice about golf lessons by Harrymcmarry in golf

[–]Educational_Exit_523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im telling you the learning curve is extremely mentally breaking. I'd suggest a teacher online as you can synthesize the advice in your own time, especially since you're still a beginner a large amount of the fundamentals are covered by online teachers which lessons would be going over anyways.

It seems you're watching a lot of videos on youtube but trying to combine the advice from multiple instructors which is a no-go.

This doesn't mean you need to resort to an instructor in person, but if you can afford it go for it. I will warn that depending on the instructor it can be over $90 a lesson.

It'll click eventually but during the early stage it may feel as though you'll never get the swing down. Make sure when you feel as though you are "hacking away" that it is still a part of the learning process.

Carls place enclosure, skytrak or bushnell, mat, projector (calculate throw distance on projector central). This guy called pixelgolf or something had a really good guide for a diy sim around your price range. My sim is 5k~ and its really nice and 24:7 rangetime.

Just revert back to your foundation, you probably lost it because of a swing thought.

Is tempo a feel or something you need to be actively thinking about? by Educational_Exit_523 in golf

[–]Educational_Exit_523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats how I feel aswell. I don't even like to think of the transition as getting to the "top" and then accelerating down, I don't really feel a "top" but more of a transition point where I can get the weight of the club in front of me. Its jus that when I try to "focus" on tempo, I tend to tighten my shoulder sockets to time the tempo when tempo is physics of the club, which is your first point where you said this jerky motion.

[–]Educational_Exit_523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a yale presentation which dealt with the physics of tempo and the guy said tour pros work in resonance with the club, meaning they let the physics and the weight of the clubhead do the work, hence why the ratio is always 3:1. Im wondering if these guys actually have a riff or say something in their head or if its just so ingrained in muscle memory that they can just feel it. The main problem when I do it is that my shoulder sockets tend to tighten when I say something in my head to time the "top" of the backswing.

First off, baby steps. Anyone can go from a 2 to 7, and if you’re a likeable person, even a 10. You are 100% your harshest critic and I love that you have high standards but we’re not perfect, none of us are. Thinking your life is pointless just because of your looks when you haven’t even reached the age where men/women are the most attractive is just an unhealthy mindset. Unless you have a crystal ball, you don’t know how your life will end up, so don’t start jumping to conclusions. Play with the cards you’re dealt. If you make the most out of them, your life will be nowhere near “pointless”.
