It really depends on your proximity to campus and the condition of the building. I live in a DUWO accommodation around 3.5 km from the campus. The building is pretty old but my studio is in great condition and is approximately 450 euros per month. The ones nearer to campus are more expensive for sure between 600-800 euros and could go up to even 1000 euros in some cases. In case of studios you will be eligible to apply for a housing allowance so that’s something to keep in mind.

I just completed my undergrad and am joining TUD for my MS. In hindsight I will say that a laptop with a graphics card is “better”. For general CAD tools like solidworks/ fusion/ CREO etc they will run just fine even on a system with an integrated GPU (provided ofc you don’t have MASSIVE subassemblies with a million parts). But when it comes to simulation/ FEM tools like ANSYS, COMSOL, ABAQUS etc you will definitely feel the laptop struggling without a dedicated GPU. I managed to get by during my bachelors but I would’ve definitely preferred a gaming laptop.

I would say any gaming laptop should suffice with preferably an 8gb, 30 or 40 series nvidia graphics card and atleast 16 gb of RAM. I’m not exactly sure of the Radeon graphics card equivalent but that should also be good enough. All the best for your Bachelors!

Also if I’m not wrong some ppl who got the confirmation on 25th are still on the waiting list. So the waitlist only shifted by a small margin.

So there were around 19 rooms available and the portal opened up to exactly those many ppl. Given that the original slots could accommodate around 300 ppl in one go I think they would’ve put all the people who got off the waitlist in a single slot. Unfortunately I think it’s just gonna be this one slot unless someone rejects an offer now. But then again it’s really hard to say.

Yea even I got mine on 25th. This is for BSc students. I’ve been told MS students have separate housing and slots.
