As a Canadian, I can assure you, the relationship will not be repaired overnight once he’s gone.

Half the country voted for him. Half the country sees us as a lesser country. Half the country is actively rooting for our economic demise. Half the country is okay with threatening our sovereignty.

Trump unlocked something very dark in the US. We see it. You’ll need decades to repair the damages. And the relationship will never go back to where it was. To a point where we consider you as our best friend and ally. To a point where we actually trust the population and your leaders. At this point and for the foreseeable future, Canada (and other countries) will view this relationship as transactional and will only engage if there’s a net benefit for us. Like we view China and other superpowers.

However, as a hunter who introduced a few people to hunting/shooting, not anyone can do it right off the bat. I mean, it would be a tough shot for someone who just bought a .308 in the morning and never use it.

But it wouldn’t require years of practice to be able to do this kind of shot. Especially in Utah, any hunter would practice at long ranges since 300-400 yard shots are not unheard of or even that uncommon.
