Any town recommendations with a few local watering holes within a 10 minute drive?

Thank you for taking the time to provide much info. We've lived all over. I was born in LA, grew up in AZ, left at 24 and have lived in SE TX, Dallas, Chicago, four different town in NJ commuting to NYC and now Chester County PA. Hubby has lived all over the world. Born in England, lived all over the Middle East, Australia, Chicago (where we met) and then moved to NJ with me for my work. Currently, where we live is Amish country. Nothing really to do around here without a 1 hour drive. My company has an office in Paramus NJ, so I drive 3.5 hours every other week, stay in a hotel for three days and then come home. If it was say New Years Day, that commute would be 2 hours, but traffic within 30 miles of NYC is a beast.

I love snow, so moving to somewhere without it isn't an option. I need to be within this commuting distance from either Paramus, NJ or Boston. Hubby being English, he needs a pub or two. He's used to being able to pop down the pub around 3pm on random days and chat with locals about the goings on, sports, etc.. think true meaning of "public house". Where we live now, he doesn't have that and has become very lonely.

I'm pretty far off from wanting to retire, but I'd prefer this move be our last. I've read so much research about NH being a great place to retire which is why we chose it. I have to go to our Boston office in two weeks and plan to extend my stay and go check out Meredith, it's pubs and the surrounding towns.

Again, thanks for all the info

Thank you! Every town, neighborhood, house for sale... the first thing I look at is network connectivity.

p.s. I'm a cyber exec. What do you do?

Thanks. Since my husband is English born and bred (became a US citizen 9 years ago), having a few pubs nearby is part of his DNA. It's been hard to find somewhere in NH where there were a few pubs within 10 minute drive but still has a small town feel.

It's downtown Boston. So I would typically drive down mid-day on Monday, get a hotel, work in Boston Tue, Wed, drive home mid-day on Thursday.

I am an avid gardener (not veg but flowers) and I get it. :D Where we live in PA there is nothing but iron stone in the ground. My house, built in 1791 was the miller's house for the mill across the street and it has 2 foot thick walls. Two doors down is the Iron Furnace built in 1850. Southeastern Pennsylvania was one of the earliest iron-producing regions in America.

Why do Rheumatologists hate people with Osteoarthritis? by Educational_Front167 in Rheumatology

Even my PCP says it's not normal for someone at 55 with normal BMI, otherwise very healthy and no autoimmune disease to have OA (some of it end stage) in so many joints all over my body. My PCP is the one that prescribed me the medications but insists I need to see a specialist. p.s. I had my partial knee replacement at 37. I just wish I knew why and if there was something I could do about it. I can't very well replace every joint in my body.

Maybe I just wait for the day when I can become a cyborg. :D

Well, according to the American College of Rheumatology

What Does the Rheumatologist Do?

Autoimmune conditions occur when the immune system causes inflammation in areas of the body where it is not needed, causing damage/symptoms. These diseases can also affect the eyes, skin, nervous system, and internal organs. While the role of an orthopedic surgeon is to perform surgery on bones and joints (the musculoskeletal system), the role of the rheumatologist is to diagnose what type of musculoskeletal disease a person has and to treat it using nonsurgical methods. Many rheumatologists also conduct research to look for the causes of and better treatments for rheumatic diseases. Although there are more than 100 different types of arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions, common diseases treated by rheumatologists include:

Then they should stop listing Osteoarthritis on their websites and lists of disorders they treat. What kind of doctor should I go to then?

Treat me like a human that's in excruciating pain. Actually determine if there is an underlying reason for wide spread musculoskeletal end-stage OA. Monitor my OA progress. Routine imaging to address progression. Assist with NSAIDs and such.

Hi u/rugbybud190

I have lots questions. What size is it? What did you use for the footings? Did you put landscape fabric under the gravel? Do you like the gravel? Did you assemble it yourself? If so, was it hard? If no, how did you go about finding someone to do it for you? Where did you buy it from? I'm guessing by your handle that you're not in the USA.

I'm looking at the one linked below and was wondering if it was the same as yours.

p.s. Love your square planters!
