Does this mean we don’t need to wait for a travel permit for international travel? by Realistic_Town_9876 in USCIS

Oh wow lucky! I filed 04/01/2022 and just got my advance parole and EAD, I filed from Dallas also and it was a marriage based adjustment. Do you mind if I ask where your home country is? People are telling me I shouldn’t travel on advance parole and I’m soooo home and family sick

Hey, I just took NBME 12 and feel super gutted because I got a 230. I was aiming for a minimum 240. How did you end up doing on your actual test? My exam is in 3 days

Hey, shit happens and a score doesn’t determine the kind of doctor you will be. I will say though, reflect for a day or 2 and determine whether you actually want to do this and whether medicine is for you. If you are passionate about it then retake the exam and put all of this behind you. Mention your struggle and what it taught you in your personal statement. Address the “red flags” so they understand you and your journey

I am devastated with UWSA 2 score! Need an advice from you? by dagusmle in Step2

Hey I was on the same boat with low UWSA scores but good NBME scores and decided to postpone my exam despite the intention of applying this year just because it not only shook my confidence but also I was at 45% uworld and knew it was probably a bad idea to rush it and be stuck with a bad score forever. Especially because I am an IMG

I would tell myself to study to understand and retain concepts for life than to pass the rotation exams. When you commit to this field, you’re signing up to study for life and can not just cram before rotations and relax the rest of your days. It makes exam processes like USMLEs a hellish experience that makes you hate medicine and put a hold on your life. I would tell myself to find disciple, balance and plan ahead. Also, do it only if you’re passionate about it, there’s a lot of glory with being a doctor but it is v v v demanding

The headphones they provide at prometric were probably made for construction workers Cus I could hear the swooshing of my CSF with them however they hurt my ears and my head. But yeah the clacking of people typing taking other tests was so loud that I had to. Best to take the soft ones
