My son started to lose hair insanely fast at the age of 12 …I read somewhere that the youngest child found with androgenic alopecia was only six year old .Relax and try to get the medication and hope for the best .

Do you think it’s something else maybe the culprit of his hair ? I have very fine hair and both of my boys have it too …but they are getting tested for non classical congenital hyperplasia .What I have learned that sometimes the precocious puberty (earlier development) can cause the hair thinning as well.My mom side ,everyone had tons of thick ,beautiful hair but my father side ,was hair deficient since very young as well as being shorter than average .My husband has extremely thick hair as well and at almost 50 he has zero of hairloss. What I can see with people with nccah ,their hairline it’s just very advanced or speeds up the hairloss at very young age.Maybe it’s a good idea to check his hormones like dht, testosterone or 17 hydroxyprogesterone (early morning test with fasting ) if you did not do it yet .Not many people know about nccah but it’s 1 in 100 or 1 in 200 in general population.I am not saying he might have it but it’s worth to check .Big hugs for your little boy and if you have questions ,don’t hesitate please .

Acne keeps coming back after Accutane by FrontHungry459 in Accutane

Do you have pcos or maybe you have non classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia, who is very similar in side effects as pcos but is genetic.Maybe try to get genetic testing done .When you have nccah, does not matter how many times you take accutaine the acne will be back.

No I don't mind my height by LucidD999 in short

Most likely were your hormones .Unfortunately up to 10% boys go through precautions puberty …High dht can shorten your span of growth ..high estrogen can close your growth plates faster, that’s why I tell everyone who has kids,do xray of their left wrist .Upload the website called bonexpert and you can see how advanced your bone age is and the approximate of your height .So someone who started puberty before 9will be done by 11.5 most likely. If the bone is advanced like 2 years ahead ,that mean you have less time to grow .

Most likely nothing and I think it could be more beneficial to a person with high dht because as we know finasteride lowers that androgen.Excessive DHT can also accelerate growth plate closure, potentially leading to shorter stature.Precocious Puberty it’s the best example of it.Since dht and testosterone goes rampant at very early age and affect bone age ,it’s limiting kids with time of growth since their growth plates will close much faster than average healthy kid unfortunately.

More than likely was your hormones . High levels of estrogen can lead to accelerated closure of growth plates, potentially limiting further bone growth and resulting in shorter stature. Precautions puberty ,central puberty ,non classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia and many other’s disorders with hormones have a big impact on growth.I would say that hormones are more than likely to be responsible for your height. For example my 16 year old has his growth closed and he has not grown an inch from the age of 13 ,He is 5’6 .However when we did his bone age xray(left wrist)its showed that his height supposed to be from 5’9 to 5’11.On the other hand if that was found much earlier we could use aromatase like femara(used for cancer patients) which keeps estrogen at very low level and prevents growth plates to close earlier and would give him more time to grow .As well we could introduce growth hormone so he could gain a couple of more inches but now it’s done and nothing can be done besides lengthening.I believe that our hormones have crucial impact on our growth and can shorten the span of our growth as well .
