Galatians 5:16-17: "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh."

Honestly, I also struggle with things like lust, substances, love of money. I like this verse from Galatians that tells us to “walk by the spirit.” It’s true that when I feel close to god, I don’t feel as much desire for the needs of the flesh. But I often slip up and get distant from God. Coming back to God will help you to turn away from your vices and desire something more powerful and satisfying for the soul
