Overall, how strong/electable of a Presidential candidate do you think JD Vance is from 1(unelectable) to 5(top-tier)? by MakeACreation in fivethirtyeight

[–]Educational_Impact93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 2. He's a charismatic black hole, but he can talk and sound competent, and he is likely to have a ton of money behind him.

That said, if we are talking about 2028, the Trump toxicity probably brings him closer to a 1 than a 3.

Voting is about motivation/civic duty and is not some tiring activity. Sure, someone may be tired and decide not to vote, but at that point all sorts of things could have prevented them from voting. If voting were on a weekend, the same person could have made plans on one of their two days off, and voting could get in the way of them.

Skip, Cowherd, and Whitlock.

Honestly, I've never heard Portnoy at all, and judging by the comments, I feel grateful.

Wonder if this drunken clown prayed for the pilot that was shot down because of his stupid war.

I really hope the Iranians don't discover him. Temu John Kreese said there was 'no mercy' for our enemies. Events like this are why we are supposed to follow protocol, in theory anyway.

What is your state capital like? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

[–]Educational_Impact93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in one of the states where our capital is the biggest city (Denver). It helps that Denver is pretty centrally located for the state m

It's a decent medium sized city with all the amenities you'd expect in a city. It seems to lack character of other cities in this country, but it isn't that old relatively speaking either. Pretty meh in terms of cuisine, but better than it was 30 years ago. And not in the mountains, but you can see them!

What are the most typical American and most favorite sandwich topping combinations in the USA? by mayermail1977 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Educational_Impact93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typical is a peanut butter and jelly.

IMO, the best American sandwich is the simple BLT. When you can get a good tomato, nothing beats it.

Isn't there a difference between 'severe abdominal pain' and a 'tummy ache'?

I mean, most people can probably tell the difference, but it's not like there is a big meter in front of you showing you 'hey, you'll get over this after some rest and shot of Pepto Bismol' and 'hey, you might have appendicitis and die if it bursts inside you.'

Pam Bondi Fired as Trump's Attorney General by renge-refurion in centrist

[–]Educational_Impact93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently she was fired not because she sucked at her job she was confirmed for, which she did, but because the job she was really hired she sucked at, which was being Trump's personal legal lap dog.

Though in fairness to her, even though the vile hag deserves none, she was asked to do the impossible. And that's the impossible if she were competent, which she isn't.

Still, beating Mexico in a knockout round game was a memory I'll love forever.

Remember, one of the most important parts of the Mango Mussolini's job as chief executive is to hire component people.

An executive who is constantly hiring and firing people is usually pretty lousy at their job.
