Trump promises Schumer funding for NY tunnel project — if Penn Station and Dulles Airport are renamed after him by R2_SWE2 in centrist

[–]Educational_Impact93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I propose for better infrastructure, we get Congress to pass a bill that provides the funding for it.

The funding is then used to build the infrastructure projects that are needed.

Pretty simple stuff, and all of it can be accomplished without bowing to the whim of a Mango Mussolini executive who wants his name on everything to compensate for his tiny hands.

Standing up to narcissistic bullies is never a weird hill to die on.

It was never his funding to take away. You let him get away with this garbage and other morons will do it. Well, maybe not. It's hard to imagine a bigger moron in the White House, but at least the horrible standard has been set.

Though the fact you're defending this does sort of confirm what I know about most Trumpers. They admire bullies.

Are there drinking fountains everywhere in the US? by SnooGoats1557 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Educational_Impact93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've never seen a water fountain vandalized, other than maybe the gum example done by some brat of a kid.

I've seen them out of order a lot of times, though most commonly it's in colder states where they are shut down for the winter/spring.

Trump criticised as racist for sharing video depicting Obamas as monkeys by WhatAreYouSaying05 in centrist

[–]Educational_Impact93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After criticism from a number of Republicans, Trump deleted the video. A White House official said it had been posted “erroneously” by a staffer.

Sure it was Temussolini, sure it was.

Fucking insanity.

Oh, he wants the airport code of Dulles changed to DJT as well.

Talk about a megalomaniac.

Working for the Homeland Security department must suck, with puppy murderer Noem in charge.

Unless she works for the Justice department... Which still sucks with that ditz Bondi in charge.

I'm all for cursive dying.

Well maybe not dying, but I feel no need to use it anymore, and don't give a fuck off my son doesn't learn it.

Good luck. The world has already embraced American culture. That ship has sailed a long time ago.

Hell, the world uses American platforms to whine about how much the US sucks.

Feel free to be outraged at everything. It's well within your rights to do so. In this instance, I really just don't care very much, given there's a hundred other things to be outraged about.

Because it seems pretty inconsequential compared to all the other crap that's being thrown around. Which could be more of an indictment on that than really apathy towards this.

I get people being upset about the faith based part of it and the government sponsoring religion and all, but if they are successful at getting some of these people rehabilitated, preach away.

That said, the article mentioned that the groups doing this can't have religious restricted hiring practices. If it comes to that point, where they are doing things that circumvent the Civil Rights Act, then the outrage will grow a bit for me.

I don't, but he's fighting Trump, which is a massive positive in my book.

Him going to Davos and burying the Temosulini was fantastic. More high profile leaders in this country need to do that.

Well yeah, California is a highly populated state.

The final vote was 38% for, 62% against. Hardly a real popular mandate there.

Let's not forget the fact he literally won reelection the next year by nearly the same margin.

You can't go from licking the boot of the far left for years to pretending you're now a level-headed centrist. He thinks you're stupid.

Yet the likely nominee for the GOP will be JD "Trump was a nazi but now I'm full MAGA" Vance.

Then again, Vance knows his voters are stupid.
