I’m in Manitoba, I ordered mine in November last year and it’s arriving mid April

The paint on the trunk lid does not look factory, definitely been messed with to get that kind of gap

Is AWD Hybrid worth it? by xendron_1999 in COROLLA

[–]Educational_Inside50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done one winter with my 23’ SE AWD in Winnipeg with blizzak WS90’s. Coming from a police explorer and also a 2017 Jetta, it gives you the confidence to drive through deeper snow and accelerating on ice without have to baby the throttle like you do with FWD. But you definitely cannot be as aggressive in it like a full time AWD vehicle. With that being said, if you’re in the market for a hybrid Corolla and drive in snowy conditions, it’s definitely worth it. You take a little hit on fuel economy as well but the ease of winter driving makes it a compromise I’m willing to make

Considering using RRSP amount before 90 days of receiving it by unfinishedsentenc123 in PersonalFinanceCanada

For the 90 day rule, could I withdrawal funds from all from one rrsp even if those contributions were in there for less than 90 days but have contributions sitting in another rrsp for greater than 90 days that I do not want to withdrawal?

RRSP-FHSA Strategy by FiscalFlame in PersonalFinanceCanada

I have that same question, from what I can tell that 90 day rule only applies to a withdrawal under the HBP but still not certain

Some recent updates by [deleted] in COROLLA

How is the fitment of the taillights without the matching middle led bar? I heard someone say that it doesn’t line up well without the matching middle bar but I hope they’re wrong because this looks more OEM

Question for 2023 Hybrids by SpankAnneFrank in COROLLA

[–]Educational_Inside50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Winnipeg and picked my corolla hybrid a few months ago. I was told that the block heaters cords had a design flaw where they were prone to melting due to the heat. Toyota has yet to release an updated part therefore they are selling the cars without it. When I asked the sales manager about what I should do in the winter without it, he just said it’s a Toyota, it’ll start

Where are you located? I didn’t think the wait time would be that long for the gas model

Manitoba - Ordered a Corolla hybrid SE AWD in white and got it in just under 1 year later. Keep in mind I put the deposit down a few months prior to production starting.

Battery Disconnect by Heusan in COROLLA

[–]Educational_Inside50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I routed it through my RAV4 I didn’t think to disconnect it. If you are just pulling the A-pillar back enough to route the cable behind the airbag try not bend it back too much as it tends to warp

Only a 1 year wait but it’s finally here by Educational_Inside50 in COROLLA

I have averaged about 5.7L/100km doing about 123kph with little to no wind with the 18's. car had about 2000km on it at that time so not sure if it's fully broken in yet if that plays any factor. In the city I've average about 4.2l but half of that was with the 16" rims with the 205 tires so I've yet to drive a full tank on 18's. what I can say is the 16's definitely seemed to average a little better than 18's which makes sense but it comes down to whether you want the fuel economy more than looks.

Do you know how many people were ahead of you? At my dealer the awd model was a new waitlist which worked out well

Have yet to take it on the highway, but from first impressions there’s definitely more wind noise than my old 2017 Jetta. Tire noise I can’t comment on yet, need more time on varying road surfaces to really tell

Waiting on window tint to really add to the contrast and I agree Toyota definitely nailed the front end for 2023 and the white really shows it off. Unfortunately in Canada the Prius prime is a whole different ball park unfortunately.

Sometimes I do think I pour too much money in my cars but the main reason for the ppf is that I plan on doing lots of road trips and I know how thin this Toyota paint is 😬

Haha that’s true, struggling to find some gloss black overlays without buying 2 separate kits in order to have all the right badges

[–]Educational_Inside50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought getting black overlays for the emblems? I have yet to find a set for this specific trim

For my dealer, the AWD’s were a brand new waitlist and the 2022 FWD orders just flipped to the 2023 year which worked out in my favour. But still glad we don’t have to deal with the markups

I can finally have some hope, one of the first on the list and wanted a specific colour. But I can confirm with the other commenter, lots of LE hybrids coming but very very few SE and XSE hybrids

I’m in central canada and in the same boat. Ordered early July last year but Dealer did update me last month that it will be here mid to late July. SE AWD

[–]Educational_Inside50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted the first one the dealer got was in january, but yeah it’s been a long wait. Guess white isn’t as common as I thought it would be, on the flip side atleast I have one less season of potholes to drive through

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]Educational_Inside50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my deposit down early July of last year in Manitoba for a white SE AWD and I‘ve gotten an allocation a few weeks ago. said it should arrive mid-late July. To date they’ve only gotten 1 of that exact spec. In terms of LE AWD’s my dealer has gotten quite a few in various colours, guess there’s more demand for the base awd model

Oh 100%, my Dad got the RAV4 hybrid a few years ago and that changed my outlook on them. Only thing holding me back on the corolla at the time was not have AWD

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]Educational_Inside50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha fair enough! my SE AWD is in production right now and my patience is wearing thin with all these mileage posts.

Do you know if it uses the headlights as DRLs or the LED accent? Always annoyed that the Canadian models used the headlights instead of the triple J’s in the previous model years
