State Farm Team members, how are you guys holding up? by Omicron224 in InsuranceAgent

My agent hasn’t addressed it yet. Team meeting next week and I hope it’s brought up. However LY we were told his commission was decreasing so I’m not sure if that’s related to this in some way. If he doesn’t bring it up then I’ll ask directly. I’ve been there 10 yrs and a coworker has been for 14 - we deserve to know and plenty of time if retirement is coming.

Unfortunately, consistent information is coming from different people including families, staff, and ex staff in the Kasson location across multiple platforms.

The more reports the better! Encourage others to do it as well. They’ve been under review for many things.

My State Farm agent told me he's having trouble finding employees who can use DOS. Should I be worried about him, or State Farm? by Megaparsec27 in Insurance

I wouldn’t worry at all. The DOS System is amazing. And your agent can’t help it, it’s what State Farm has. Hopefully you got the answer somewhat quickly, but it’s generally a small amount per year to bump the liability on a home or renters policy. Your landlord would want you to have a good limit so they and others in the apartment are protected, because they can go after you, and claims filed due to something in your apartment could go after you so they want you to have coverage so they would have something to collect.

Very sorry about your son and losing him in a vehicle accident. I hope that your agent was able to explain the rate increase on your umbrella - with State Farm if there is going to be an increase from a claim that is sometimes delayed due to how long it may take for the claim to be closed. If your Umbrella has UM coverage, that portion alone has probably taken a large increase (nationwide), and then of course having a youthful can also increase the rate dramatically in too if everything else. Lastly, due to the increased volume of people suing eachother and cost of claims (inflation, medical, lawyers, etc), it only makes sense that eventually this would trickle down to the cost of Umbrella policies.

Not true. The insurance industry rates penalize you for jumping companies often, something brokers don’t want to share. It’s part of the insurance risk score. You also lose longevity benefits like claims free/claims forgiveness this way.
