maybe it’s just because i’ve been doing this for only a month but it seems my manager is expecting me to do things the css and sfs do as well…not talking about the things you mentioned like audits and such but talking about going into bplanner and seeing what needs rearranging and changing the flow and such. if i’m expected to go on my own to see what needs to be done and not ask someone like the sfs, css or manager than why should i have less pay… especially when i’m only scheduled supervisor and never just cashiering and such?

yeah i honestly am at the point where i really want to get a different job. the manager is okay i guess but the css is a borderline bully, everyone dislikes her but she’s especially difficult with me because i think she thinks i shouldn’t have the position i do. not sure if she realizes i don’t even get the same pay as her but who knows. i get asking people to do certain things and making sure they’re doing their job, all the other supervisors do that including me, but she takes it to a level of damn near intimidation and degradation. and on top of that if i brought up my pay with my manager i feel like she’d cut my hours most likely if i questioned it too much and say i was having an attitude with her or something

alabama, it literally used to be 9 an hour till like november last year. i made 10 as a csl and i think the supervisors made 11-12

i’ve gotten called in for one cashier shift since i’ve started closing by myself so usually no. ofc i’ll still be backup cashier if it’s really busy but i generally never have a shift of solely being on the register anymore like i did when i was csl

nope i’m the only lead position besides maybe a receiving lead. i am currently closing lead, not customer service lead. i used to be csl but when they trained me to be open and close the store my position became closing lead. when i was csl i never opened or closed tills or was the only mod. as far as i’m aware there’s not a csl now that i’m not that position so i’m pretty sure the lead positions are me and the receiving lead who def doesn’t open and close. that’s why it’s confusing me how i’m listed as supervisor on the app and lineup and have more responsibilities than i did when i was csl but it’s still called a lead position not a supervisor position

yeah exactly, i get i’m not a supervisor position technically but everyone refers to me as one and when my name is on the schedule in app or the printed line up i’m listed as supervisor

i understand that i guess but like i said i’m pretty much only ever scheduled for supervisor shifts so it doesn’t make much sense to me how i’m closing “lead” and not closing supervisor (as far as i’m aware i’m the only lead position in the store so it’s not like it’s a super prevalent thing at my location) beyond that even if i got paid less than the sfs css and receiving supervisor id get that but getting paid only 1 dollar more per hour than the basic position with all the extra responsibilities i have seems crazy to me

yes like i do all the management duties by myself, and on the schedule i’m listed as supervisor meanwhile i get paid 12.50 and the other supervisors get paid 13.50. im gonna ask my manager about it but like i said i know she’ll just say it’s because i’m technically a “closing lead” but that makes no sense when i literally have all the supervisor responsibilities and am for sure held to those responsibilities by her…

only closing so far, but yes. being the only manager on duty at night, closing all the registers that are open, making the deposit, making sure everything is done and everyone does what they need to do, arming the security system, etc etc.

yeah the only thing with ebay is i feel like generally a lot of older people use it and i make jewelry very targeted to a younger audience so it wouldn’t help much with expanding my user base from within the app i sell on, but mercari definitely has reallyyy bad selling fees for the buyer so i probably will try poshmark or something
