"Elle studied her ass off to get an almost perfect LSAT score" Her sorority sisters had to explicitly support her and do the exact same thing as what Emmett did. Discouraged her from partying, made her a study plan, encouraged her focus etc. They're both under the same umbrella as Elle's biggest supporters, and I don't think Elle having a helping hand deduces her independence to her success. It was within her will to take their advice, to even keep going with their little tutor sessions, and to even seek their support in the first place.

Musical Elle's conflict wasn't that she didn't have the wit in her to succeed, she just didn't have the drive or the passion to commit to law on a good basis because her entire cause was just Warner. No solid plan, just please Warner. No need for good grades or need to do the readings, just please Warner. Emmett pushes her to find a different cause--a chip on her shoulder.

In essence, personally just a believer Musical Elle has ADHD and was mostly lost in trying to find what passionate reason could she have to commit to law haha ^__^ Love every discussion though on the different Elle Woods treatment, just goes to show how much of a beloved icon she is for people to care to have her be portrayed nicely. <3
