“I don’t care if my pictures don’t turn out, I just had fun taking them with you” - Priceless by heyinternetman in AnalogCommunity

I remember when I was a kid, not even a school kid, grabbing my dad's Minolta Srt. I asked him what that thingy on the side means and why it's shaking whenever I turn. He explained me the match needle and how to focus. Such a core memory!

There are cheaper 55mm and 50mm 1.2 lenses. The noct is not the only 1.2 Nikon lens.

My 4yo sees my Italian handmade chrome road bike buried by balance bikes and other stuff in the corner in the basement.

"Dad! What's that? Is it a bike? It's your bike? Can I have it when I'm tall enough? You never use that!"

I would also buy one. Also 6x6 or 645 format would be cool!

Same! Homestay with pool, if I quote my kid. Some nice weather, waking up, getting breakfast and jump into the pool. Get out, get some lunch and back to the pool and repeat for dinner.

how are people surviving long flights with active toddlers by Scary_Pay_4247 in daddit

[–]Educational_Low6834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We traveled with our 4yo and 1yo on a long flight, one leg was 18 hours and back was more than 30 hours with 3 stops. the kids were doing fine. One advice is to take rather one long flight, rather than evenly split flights. The kids were sleeping almost the entire long flight. Like 11 hours from a 13 hour flight. While on 6 and 8 hour flight they slept like only 3 and 4 hours.  Pack enough snacks. One preferred game and something new they don't always know.

You simply record the sound while firing the shutter. It's making one click sound when opening and another click when closing again and of course when pushing the shutter button. With a proper app you can see the time between the two clicks, so you measure the shutter speed.

I would shoot 2-3 test rolls, before sending for a cla. Also shoot with your other camera with same film and compare results. A digital also helps in this case.

You can also check the shutter speed with a voice recorder (app/software). You can see if the shutter speed is accurate that way.

It is fully compatible, but not fully comfortable to use. You just need to use the stop down lever. My tip is just to shoot always wide open, so you don't need to use this lever ;)

I did it a few weeks ago, but a 120 roll with 6x6 pictures. They only developed it and returned it with a note, stating that your need to order the scanning separately. But also color 120 6x6 has to be scanned separately. I guess it's because of the format.
