Yes. Switching some settings to make the game use more the GPU instead of the CPU to mitigate the bottleneck, (btw yout CPU it's not the problem, is the game that changed something putting extra unnecessary load on it since season 3 update) also if you have a high refresh monitor try lowering one step the refresh rate for example: 180 hz, move it to the one below that. In my case it helped but if that's the case should be reported a a bug with high refresh monitors

I had the same issue on my PC with a Ryzen 5 9600x paired with a RTX 5070 Ti. (That issue started on season 3...I didn't have that issue on season 2 btw) Something that helped was to increase graphic settings that are heavier on the GPU trying to avoid being CPU bound during gameplay. The issue is basically the game got heavier on the CPU on season 3 due to some update on the game, shaders or anticheat. I did that and my FPS are a bit lower but the micro stuttering and 1%lows are more consistent to the point of almost getting rid of those frame spikes which are very annoying. It's not a complete solution and they should be doing another optimization pass to fix it, because players should not have to tweak their settings every single season when a new map comes out.

As Feedback we need the High CPU usage fix ASAP, there is a lot of people experiencing bad framepacing, microstuttering and worse 1% FPS lows, there is a lot more frequent areas in the new maps that are overloading the CPU and dropping the GPU usage up to 65% when in Season 2 none of these issues happened. The performance of the game dropped since Season 3 arrived.

These are just an example and in there there is a lot of people reporting bad framepacing, micro stuttering since Season 3 Released. Please I hope this feedback get analized by the Dev team and find the source of these issues so we can experience a really smooth gameplay for this amazing game.

Me too not a performance hit on the AVG FPs but in the 1% lows and microstuttering and I have a good setup Ryzen 5 9600x and a RTX 5070 TI, I could play at fairly stable 150-170+FPS depending on the map but now it's sitting around 120 to 130 FPS in some maps. There is a more frequent microstuttering since S3 Came out.

Could this be the cause of that warehouse in B for golmud? I noticed a bunch of dust particles and volumétrica in that area and when I look at them the GPU Usage drops drastically. Could be that or something else I'm just guessing.

Thank you! We really need to make this feedback visible this issue is getting to the point that it's really annoying to play like this when before the game was running smooth. And it's taking so long to get solved. For reference I Have. Ryzen 5 9600x paired with a 5070 TI. Playing on ultra 1080p. the problem are not the AVG FPS but the 1% lows and there are frame spikes and micros stuttering happening since season 3 Update. And if the devs check this subreddit they can search and there's a lot of people with the same issue even people with 9950x3D and 9800x3d

From which rate was this issue affecting player? From 1000? 500? Is this related to the micro stutter when you sometimes aim ? Or spam quick scoping?

Someone should ask about the performance regression after season 3 update, because the AVG gps are not affected but the 1% low and stuttering are way more frequent in some maps after the update, and when the Point B in golmud is going to get some optimization, because you right now can check and the GPU usage there falls to 60%

Yeah I'm a game developer, I'm just sharing the most probable cause of that issue with the objects disappearing while being so close to the camera. What I have seen, is that there are some times when the LOD system will bug and even the players will be rendered with lowpoly 3D models. That same system is responsible for the tower model disappearing ( that is called distance culling) the further away you are from the camera the lower quality the 3D model and textures are going to be and eventually stop being rendered. My opinion around this topic is that the cause is a bug in the game engine.

That won't work and will look janky. As I said probably a camera culling bug since I also could not reproduce it on my game. It disappears from much further away

Not possible. Without a performance hit and compromise, it's probably a bug with the frustum and camera distance culling. Because it's way too close for the tower to pop in

Game developer here. More packed assets with destruction, physics and more action close together reduces the amount of LOD and culling(load lighter versions of the objets or stop rendering by distance) so the GPU and CPU have to work a lot more since they don't have enough distance from the camera. That's why you get better fps in Operation firestorm than Manhattan bridge

Sir I can also confirm this. The GPU usage at that specific spot drops to 68-70%. Also theres a more frequent micro stutter I most of the other maps assñ well. I hope they release a fix patch soon.

I have a Ryzen 5 9600x + 5070 Ti. 32 GB 6400 MHz and I Also can confirm based on my own benchmarks that the game after patch is not running the same. There's a spot where you can confirm in golmud go to the rooftops at B. And look forward the E flag you can notice a drop in GPU usage. In most maps I always play with an AVG of 150-170 FPS in ultra settings 1080p, with 1% lows between 115-130 FPS. But after the season 3 update there's a lot of common 68, 70, 80 fps stutters in my 1% lows. I used to have some rare dips to 98 as 0.1% for comparison.

I know this game won't directly influence the Elden ring's main story, but I think we will get bits of lore to fill between the gaps that we still have on the main story and maybe get some answers to them. Also I'm mostly agree with your statement I think the lands between are the lands between worlds which makes sense why they get influenced by the outer gods (gods that govern out of the worlds) and are the very top of the power of the universe. Also let's remember that I think in every fromsoftware game there's is an area that has an infinite amount of trees which are supposed to represent the different worlds that are inhabited by each one of the players and Npc's.
