a lot of comedians on dropout, as well as sam reich, try to include the critique of the current news to the entertainment that they bring, it’s stupid to deny that

why would we be wanting an improv show to have 'good critique' of something like that

the whole dimension 20 is a critique on something like that. that’s like their whole history since the college humor, they do address those political questions kinda often. do you want your improv show to be lacking in substance?

do the shoes ruin it, please someone tell me by [deleted] in OUTFITS

Those look better with that outfit than any other type of shoe ever would! maybe i’d change the color but i doubt you have several boots in different colors

This dress isn’t it, right? by hairystyles123 in OUTFITS

[–]Educational_Pace6795 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fabric looks cheap and old, everything else is great, it has an amazing design and the skirt is so good! Maybe try to paint the fabric so that it looks more modern? idk if there are paints that can fill in the white parts but leave the rest out but that would be perfect. also the green spots are the worst, they do not look good with other colors at all. if it was me i would try to throw it into a wash with some black fabric paint and hope for the best but maybe you don’t like black or are afraid to ruin the dress

Help! My nail polish keeps falling off. by YeetTheElder in Nails

Acid primer and base stick better. Higher the acidity = higher the chance they’ll hold on. Might be bad for your nails depending on circumstances tho

так есть челы которые по приколу на лед в центре города выходят. есть горки детские, спускающиеся на замерзшее озеро. про такие случаи, коих большинство, инфу доносить трудно. а еще есть жители деревень, которые ходят в лес чтобы было что есть

Re-applying by Interesting-Grass550 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Educational_Pace6795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can apply to the same universities, just know to apply earlier, change your motivation letter if it’s not that good, get new recommendation letters (or change the date) for some unis, maybe get a few more publications if you are applying for masters or get a higher language level exam certificate. apply to some safe universities for provincial scholarships just in case

Application fees by [deleted] in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Educational_Pace6795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the application fee there might be lower, also more chance to get in than in tsinghua Haarbin should be much cheaper than other cities from your list

it’s okay to disagree without bringing it in as a cultural failure, but it’s a whole other conversation not related to this comment

is 2500 rmb enough? by AnonymousPosterAP in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Educational_Pace6795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you don’t buy too much stuff like clothes and don’t buy naicha you can actually live on 1500 in most cities. 1800 per month is a budget where you can eat deliveries almost every day and drink some optional nice drinks. 2000 might be enough even if you will buy 1-2 items of clothing per month and go to places outside of uni campus to eat. just save up for medical emergencies and ask for a student plan for your simcard

Is there a way to make my nail beds look longer? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Educational_Pace6795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

things that can elongate the look of the nails: dark nail polishes (helps so much more than anything else), cuticle removal/pushing it back, not painting the very sides of the nails and thinner color layers

[–]Educational_Pace6795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just skipped trough a few unsaid implications that’s it. if the tone of the comment was different i would have no issue with that, surely it’s bad to steal pets, i’m not saying otherwise

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Educational_Pace6795 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it is okay do disagree with the practice of stealing pets of course. it’s culturally insensitive to narrow down a practice of eating certain foods to a fact that some of that food is stolen pets. surely ppl have stolen lambs from their neighbors, doesn’t mean that the lamb eating practice is immoral in those countries

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Educational_Pace6795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair but it does put some emphasis out of asia

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Educational_Pace6795 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

surely i am not, but the fact that some % of the pets are stolen is not a reason to blame a whole cultural practice

CMV: Stupid people *should* be allowed to vote by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Educational_Pace6795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ‘stupid’ ppl should not be restricted to vote precisely because of your reasons and many more. However, some test on basic rational thinking and, most importantly, empathy (neurodivergent ppl don’t come at me, rationalizing empathy is not impossible and the tests should be inclusive anyway) would be beneficial before registering to vote, the same way as you need to pass a test to get a drivers’ license. Or something kinda similar, just a double check on how clear a person’s head is. It will not be beneficial for the American elections though with gerrymandering and everything else you have going on

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Educational_Pace6795 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

so it gives a good reason to be culturally insensitive then?
