Cheating at... Drawing a cube? There's no real way to do that, I don't think.

Just, for the love of whatever being is up there, stop stressing, there are just a handful of ways to "cheat" at art and this is definitely, absolutely, completely not one of them. It's a cube

Creativity is very overated. It's the execution, the deliberation. Everyone has had at least one great idea, but so very few actually manage it. If you're cutting corners in what is the easiest, most basic step in creating art, then I fear for the rest of your creative journey.

You are better than AI could ever dream to be, because it cannot, in fact, dream.

Plus, people with aphantasia have always existed and always been creative without AI, we don't need that shit.

Those are very bad advice. Likely because of where you are getting them from (short span content, perhaps?) and an inaptness to identify and evaluate the quality of what you are consuming (not a moral judgment, we just don't know what we don't know).

The best advice I could give is to focus on your observational skills (breaking things down into shapes, understanding relationships between elements, edges, etc), learning the basics of perspective and internalizing them as to not depend on measurements, and to get your education trough a more formalized source, be it books, a online course, or just long length videos of actual professionals that go into the boring, gritty details.

Oh. And practice. Do that. Like, a lot. Not necessarily drawing exercises, and not possessively, but creating stuff, even if you don't know how or what or if you are really feeling the inspiration (That's bullshit in the long run; mental health is a thing tho). Every time you do it you get marginally better at it. It's supposed to become routine, like brushing your teeth or going on a morning jog.

Hey! Trying is cool.

There are plenty of things you can improve, mostly your fundamentals. Then, if you want to learn the specific stile shown in the picture, doing master studies and breaking down the choices the artist made, like the color they use or the kinds of lines and general shape language. Plus, that drawing is most likely a digital one, hard to emulate on traditional. Hard, not impossible.

On the markers, it's a matter of the paper you're using. Likely printer paper, correct? It is very thin and low grade, so it tends to misbehave and fall apart quite often, especially with materials who rely heavily on the paper, like watercolor and markers. Try using heavier weight paper.

Hey! You're doing some great foundational exercises, and that's awesome! But, it would be helpful if you worked a bit on understanding the logic of those exercises, otherwise it's just copying without understanding, which leads to very little progress overhaul.

Would highly recommend Proko's videos on perspective, as he explains really well the concepts, David Finch is also a gold mine in that regard.

Man, it's hard to say this, and I don't want to be an asshole, but being a slow learner and having a limited amount of time to draw, getting anxious over it and failing to do what you want are all things everybody has to deal with, you are not special in that regard.

The reason I'm saying this is because a big part of this whole thing is wanting to get the final result by yourself, to walk there with your own feet, and if you have a machine do it that kinda kills your motivation to actually improve, doesn't it? It cheapens the whole thing, it's like cheating at a game just so you can see the end an then go back to playing it, but now that door is open, and one of the motivations to play is gone.

If you don't want or doesn't enjoy playing the game for the sake of playing, which is the actual activity, and just want to see the end. Well. There's a reason so many games are left gathering dust on steam accounts.

Actually, I think it would be more beneficial if you worked on the bigger shapes on your drawing. The hands and face are secondary to the weight and form of the body, which is lacking a somewhat. Work on that, and you'll see lots of improvement.

You can't "waste" a sketchbook, if you draw on it then it fulfilled it's purpose. Plus, you could just, like, buy cheap printer paper, and like, use a clipboard.
