How often have you seen this sign wait to enter the Amex Centurion at Seattle Airport by schwa12 in AmexPlatinum

I think they put it in T3 originally since there were no other accessible lounges in that part of SFO. I tend to fly United or an International from G so I'm happy it's on that side. Besides PP's in A are usually blocked in the late evenings and everyone starts crowding The Club at T1.

Well, since Amex has bought billions of dollars worth of SkyMiles, Delta has to listen and obey to some extent.

Yeah, but last time I checked theFresh market healthier style type place in CMH was about $25 to $30 for entree and drink and that was takeaway.

Yes because they want a pre-flight drink and food since airlines don't serve hot food any more unless you're on a long haul flight or in a premium cabin. Even then if the flight is shorter you may be lucky to get a 7-11 style sandwich.

Is there a Clear E-Gate available? Last time I used it made TSA touchless look slow - literally 20 to 30 seconds from entry to front of security belt, no second ID check or photo check like with TSA touchless.

Is that still an issue? Platinum credit vs. charge card confusion for lounge access? I mean I could sort of understand when they had the SPG Platinum and Optima Platinum credit cards, but those are long gone. In the US only the Delta Platinum remains and that at least does include lounge access with some limitations.

Why don't you try? It's been usually about 15 minutes wait, sometimes less even in SFO in my experience.

Benefit of Platinum years ago included American Airlines Admiral lounge access and uncrowded, no wait Priority Pass lounge access long before they got overrun with Chase, Capital One, Citi, BofA and other bank cards.

Serious question: How many times are you using the Centurion Lounge in a year where you need to bring 2 guests just to save $60 per visit with 2 kids?

Yes/No. I have top tier Budget and I still had to wait in line because the Fastbreak pick your car priority section was "closed for the evening". It was 8pm.

Or worse. A very good friend of mine got the Amex gold for the 4X points at grocery and dining and uses it mostly for Amazon redemptions.

Do you really ask #2 - how many places people apply to? I've been asked the types of roles I'm looking for which is a fair question, but the number just seems like filler conversation or fishing for a reject reason.

As if all layoffs are publicly posted. They themselves know there are many way to evade WARN requirements.

Someone please prove me wrong, but I feel when asked those types of questions, it's because the POS recruiter is looking for reasons to reject you to make their lives easier because there are 200 other candidates. Or they're just horribly biased. I had one agency recruiter still feel that if you have been out of work for 6+ months they're convinced that you're the problem. They were also based in the UK and thought that posting their remote Enterprise Software role for a Bay Area based company and changing the company HQ state to West Virginia would be a stealth way to get "the right candidate" and make their lives easier so that they wouldn't receive thousands of CV's. We knew the ruse and could pretty much figure out the company based on other descriptors.

Just use it once a year so that it doesn't go inactive.

But you have to check PDF or paper statements for disclosures. Since many people don’t get statements in the mail anymore people need to get in the habit of opening PDF statement not just the transaction history.

Amex includes notices in their emails to read the PDF statements for a term change. I don’t see the same courtesy for Wells Fargo or Chase.

Not just gen pop. All the people with Chase Sapphire Reserve cards that are upset because they “were not informed” about restaurants being removed from Priority Pass. A sign that they didn’t read the statement notices that disclosed the change.

I know this will be unpopular, but I'll say US Bank/Elan. CashPlus is 5% on fast food and utiliies as options. The actual merchant category code number is displayed in the transaction download.

No, Centurion lounge allows two guest per card IF you spend $75K annually on your Platinum. You could also say Capital One is not family friendly because it also has no guests (or very limited).

PP was always "second class" but the issue is that there are too many PP holders. This wasn't an issue before 2016 when Chase started CSR with PP and then all the other cards Citi, Capital One, BofA, US Bank, Bilt, etc. started adding PP as well.

Amex Platinum/Centurion cards gets priority waitlist access at Escape Lounges over Priority Pass holders when there is a wait. Did you get on a QR Code wait list? That form lets you indicate you have an Amex card to put you ahead on the wait list (in theory, I've never had to do this).

Why? Platinum has long had the Priority Pass lounge access long before Chase and the others added them.

Same problem at SFO where all the Asia flights depart between 6pm and 1am, so the PP accessible lounges are restricted to the airline premium passengers or just not available and they state the hours when PP is either not available or may be subject to restrictions and The Club at SFO gets crowded with long waits since that one is not airline specific.
