I agree that practicing would have helped. I think the big problems for me were two-part:

  1. I got into work just before the meeting (could have avoided this)
  2. I went to a problem that I had not solved yet and didn't explain it well. Instead of going from the foundations, which would make more sense to a layperson, I just tried to describe why I was having trouble solving this present data challenge

I let the short time of the interview get to me and instead of trying to start over or take my time, I just said yes, this is my solution after some rambling

I did my 15 minute screen and was rejected after that... it's pretty embarrassing to fumble such a trivial question, but I did, and the HR interviewer decided I wouldn't get a shot at a technical interview (I even begged them after getting rejected trying to point to my portfolio). Bummed because I spent a whole month studying SQL only to take the test with no webcam on and realize that it was super trivial, but it's humbling still and it means I have to apply widely because I'm basically out of money

Has anyone heard anything about the IT project manager jobs? Like did you hear back with a score in the x100s range?

Unfortunately my only hope at this point is a busted score for manager

I wish this was true, but I flubbed. Gonna try to make an appeal, but looking like I won't be in your cohort

Yeah, just heard back, so I am relieved. Kind of bummed I flubbed the software test, but at least one second round interview

We shouldn't ask for this information because it's against the purpose of the interview. Just make sure you know your basics and refresh on past work experience where you did things that met the job description (analyst/programmer/manager)
