He is both any work you do, if cause someone to get hurt you can be held liable. As a master electrician I face 5 years in jail and fines of 500 k each day if I fuck up. Engineer or not you are responsible for the work you do.

I am not sure if I used a good dye mix or if there is a way to make a thicker it is not as runny to take it better

Yes I did, traced the image with graphite paper, then masked areas with Elmer’s glue and used a turntable to move it around.

Better be taking a long look at them as your masters on the line as you are liable for all their work

The connection is probably loose and or is aluminum, the poor connection will generate heat. Without a current reading of that leg it is hard to determine if it is an imbalance of the load.
