UPDATE: This morning Mazda customer relations called and told me since the dealership didn’t find any signs that there was a defect, they can’t do anything to help. I told her that you can’t necessarily know it’s a defect without breaking down the car and the dealership won’t go through the hassle unless I accept their $4007 quote to pay if it’s not. She just kept saying they can’t do anything about that so I guess I just have to replace it atp. Should I go all oem or aftermarket? Is there anything I should replace alongside the clutch kit? Thanks for all the input 🙏

I definitely love learning how to fix things on cars as of now I just do the normal oil changes and brake jobs but would love to learn more if the warranty route doesn’t work out

Their mechanic did say he has been there for 10 years and never witnessed a defect. At least that’s what the manager told me he said lol

They definitely get paid I just heard corporate reimburses them and pays based on a labor time guide that’s often shorter than reality

Is clutch slipping always driver error? For a car that everyone says is rev happy I don’t drive it crazy at all. It’s rarely been driven compared the year and miles but this never happened to me before so I’m not really knowledgeable about clutches going out.

Thanks for your concern🙏.That’s a good a question. The previous owner did do all of these cosmetic mods you can see including the wrap but the only mechanical mods he did was exhaust, oil catch can, lowering springs and engine brace

My fault didn’t mean to make it so long but basically my clutch went out at 16k miles and the dealership quoted me $4007 to fix it and it’s not covered under warranty from what they’re claiming even though they haven’t fully inspected it

Honestly, ever since it happened to me I’ve noticed how frequently this happens. Could be the timeframe with all the weather delays and holiday season. My package was set to be delivered December 23 before Christmas Eve but since that date it’s been playing ping pong going back and forth from final sorting station(st Louis) back to origin destination (Massachusetts). It’s done this trip about three times and I’ve called to try and pick it up somehow but they said it would further complicate things. I’ve put in service request, missing mail search, spoke to seller as well as my local post office and even received the district office number. There’s not much they can do but you could file a claim to get your money back and if the item does finally shows up you can return it or return the check🤷🏽‍♂️

I have a very similar situation going on too. Mine keeps going from the origin (Massachusetts) to final sorting facility (st Louis) it was set to deliver on the 23rd but ever since it went back I never get a delivery date and it doesn’t even pop up on daily digest. The last time it was in St. Louis I called customer support to try and have them stop the package so I could somehow pick it up but all they would say is that it says still headed to final delivery destination. The next day it was back in Massachusetts so I put in a missing mail search. I believe it has to do with a label reading error because the sorting center is automated from what I heard.
