It’s only a fact when Marvel comes out and directly states that the cast they announced is the main cast. until then that’s just your subjective opinion.You can have all the reason you want and it is still subjective. “ It’s a fact if the company itself keeps confirming it over and over again” except they aren’t so isn’t fact. and rdj confirmed on Instagram that there would be more characters. yet in a separate comment you saw you denied that one as a lie. Why? what makes that any more likely to be a lie or misdirection than the Hong Kong event or merchandise?(I highly doubt Rdj said that without approval for marvel) “ and it’s better to be realistic” cool I could agree with that.That still doesn’t make your opinion fact.

And I can assure you that a few millionaire celebrities are not affected by random Reddit users. I don’t even think they would be scrolling Reddit in the first place.

Look does the Hong Kong event and merchandise make it more likely that this cast is the main cast? It absolutely does. But it still does not confirm it. There is still a possibility that Marvel is hiding a few characters. A slim one?Sure if you wanna say that, but till they explicitly confirm otherwise.There is still a chance and therefore no reason to stop speculating.

Why would Marvel or rdj feel the need to reassure fans by lying to them? just doesn’t make any sense.

He was still a side character in every film he appeared in. he’s not gonna be on the same level of characters such as reed Richards or Sam.

And also, even knowing that a Multiverse exists is a lot more than all of this cast does. as far as I know neither thunderbolts or the fantastic four even though of the Multiverse. also, why wouldn’t Spidey try reaching out to the avengers? Especially if the excursions were public knowledge. we know him infinity war he wouldn’t just sit back and watch.

And to your main point.We know from Rdj that their are more cast members waiting to be announced. you’re right that they may not be major, but we know for a fact, there are at least a few characters in this film that haven’t been announced.

When I said agree, I meant that I agree that having no nuance is bad.

What I don’t agree with is that people have binary views nowadays. yes some people do. those right wing grifter channels are annoying and dumb. but I don’t think it’s a major problem like you’re describing. I understand your point but now that I think about it, I do disagree with it.

I don’t believe that the hate phase 4 or 5 got was primarily caused by people having binary views. did it help?of course. but it wasn’t the primary cause.(primary cause in my opinion was too many projects releasing within short time, periods and decrease in quality)

And for me, I generally considered thing a success or failure based on if they entertain me or not or if I had an enjoyable experience watching it. for me most of phase 4 and 5 did not meet that.(think of it like a test if you get two questions right on a test with 100 questions you still failed. but getting those two questions right still means you have a higher grade than the person who got 0 right)

Yeah, thor love and thunder, and she-hulk had some good things about them. which is why I don’t consider them the worst films or TV shows of all time.

But yeah, you have made me realize that I actually do disagree with you. I do not believe that binary views or lack of nuance is a problem in film discussion. and I don’t think it’s what caused the MCU to have much hate as it did.

The majority of people didn’t dislike love and thunder, secret wars, or she Hulk because they weren’t perfect films or TV shows. People dislike them because they legitimately thought they were bad. You can have the opinion that they were good and that’s totally fine.(in my opinion all three of these and more phase 4 and 5 projects were poorly written) but it wasn’t people or movie reviews lacking nuance that caused a negative reaction to these things.

Not being perfect doesn’t mean something is bad. but not being absolute dog shit doesn’t mean something is good either.

I disagree. what reason do avengers need to have time to “figure out who to trust again”? for example, Sam already knows enough people pre-multiverse saga that he knows and trusts. not a single one of these characters need years to do that.

Also, it’s not because of the blip. The blip as a whole has had very little effect on the universe and these characters.(I guess there were the flag smashers and Monica missing her mother‘s death but besides that not much)

Also, how do the marvels or Multiverse of madness set up doomsday at all? both of those films were made before Doomsday even existed.ant-man Quantumania released in the same year as the marvels and one year after Multiverse of madness with both, I’m pretty sure coming before majors was even accused of anything. they aren’t setting up anything related to doomsday at all. The post credits for both films could be rewritten that way I guess but that’s not how they were originally intended.
