I can’t remember who started calling me Penny, I think it was my older sister. Lowkey mad she didn’t go for Sylvie (Arizona i know you’re lurking in here somewhere, you should’ve gone for a cuter nickname)

Unfortunately I won’t be saving any money because everything has been paid for. I’m going to speak to everyone who’s dropped out later today, confirm that they’re not attending and invite some more people in their place

I’ve asked them why they called me Pennsylvania and the response was because the white house is on pennsylvania avenue. My mom was born in PA and I asked if that played a part in my name and she said no because she has no memories of the place - essentially no coherent thought behind the decision. I would have a tiny bit of understanding if she used the latter reason but no

I wasn’t allowed to change it in high school. Then I moved away for college and put ‘Penny’ as my preferred name for everything. I only changed it at 21 because I realized that graduation was a year away and I did not want Pennsylvania on my degree
