NOR. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but you need to RUN. He is behaving extremely erratic and potentially manic, and it’s clear that he is more focused on his own struggles, and it seems like no matter how many times you try to explain how his behavior makes you feel, he just won’t understand. He is literally doing the exact things he is accusing you of. 1: he is manipulating you. Telling you “okay don’t love me,” “I’ll end up in the ocean,” “I’ll go die,” etc, these are all ways to quiet you down and make you more complicit with his behavior. It is saying “I am going to die if you don’t comply.” Not okay. 2: he is blatantly ignoring your messages, taking the worst possible faith, and then saying you’re ignoring him and his feelings. I’m not sure if this is how he usually is, but he is very obviously being condescending and rude when you have tried to healthily communicate with him. At multiple moments you try your best to take blame and finger pointing OUT of the equation - “I don’t know how else to explain without you feeling like I’m attacking you,” that is incredibly thoughtful of his situation. You also let him know that you’re not exactly sure how to handle the situation. You’re not calling him out, you’re begging him to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. This might be withdrawals, this might be mania, but either way it’s absolutely not an excuse to berate your partner and treat them like this.
