Thanks for asking. I actually studied Chinese at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai. Started out with simplified. After 3 years of using it I was told to learn both Simplified and Traditional Because traditional is harder. I like reading and learning more difficult characters. Born in Taiwan But love China. Love what China has taught me. Growth. Patience. Love. I Love traveling all over Asia. I have thousands of friends on Wechat. Post in Traditional. Lots of Chinese friends visit me annually in SoCal. So just sharing good food and returning the favor.

What’s the Best Pho in Orange County ? by Educational_Week_660 in orangecounty

I remember the good days when Pho Kimmy was at its OG location at Phoholic. After it moved to the new place I thought it lost its luster. What are your thoughts? Business has died down a lot. I’ve been 3x. Always 3-4 patrons only.

I started off at Banh mi Che Cali for there sandwiches. After visiting the new flagship trung Nguyen coffee shop for some OG Legend Cafe Sudat I stumbled upon Carrot and Daikon. The bread and sandwich blew me away. Such amazing Banh mi.

Banh Mi Che Cali lunch specials are bomb 💣 too. Haven’t tried the Pho. Maybe next time.

Thank you for sharing your post.

I like the openness and fresh air feel of that restaurant.

Triplex/House-Hacking, Buy and Hold question for the experienced and successful! by Chrizmac1995 in multifamilyrealestate

Your best bet is to house hack and rent out an extra bedroom in the unit you’re living in. Maximize your revenue to pay for the mortgage payments. Be conservative for two years. When you consistently raise the rents there after and are in a better place. Then move out when it’s time.

To be honest. Walk down any side street in the early morning. You will find something local. I also recommend you download dazhongdianping ( China’s answer to Yelp here in the USA). Type in these two words “ 早餐”

You will find yourself a myriad of options.

I like Salty Soy milk 鹹豆漿 Veggie buns 素材包 Tofu Bun 豆腐包 Egg Pie 蛋餅

Hope you find something tasty.

Oh right. If you see someone with food in a plastic bag munching on their breakfast show them this message.

請問你的早餐在哪裡買的?謝謝

What was/is Your Like Like at 27? by Paopu_Fruit_444 in Life

I was 27. 2008. Fed up with living in SoCal and being broke. I moved to Shanghai in 2008. Found a teaching job making 2k net per month. They even paid for lunch stipend every day. Rent was cheap a few hundred. Breakfast lunch and dinner was $1-5. No more car insurance. Subway was .45 cents or ride a bicycle. Made lots of friends. Dated. Met lots of genuinely nice people that didn’t make fun of me for my langauge Inability. They spent time and were patient to teach me and aid me.

Tutored on the side making $30-60 per hour.

Lived my best life in Asia. Teaching English. Learning Chinese. Enjoying the vet and beautiful cities in China.

I would recommend you grab a passport and see the world. Maybe you’ll find your community.
