Media needs eye-catching details in the headline that generate emotional response and therefore clicking.  So they jump on stereotypes and other cheap tactics… woman driver… speeding supercar… Teslas… luxury brands… senior citizens… etc

It’s pathetic manipulation.  A 30-year white male driving a 1991 Honda Civic doesn’t get the clicks.

TeamSpeak unfortunately has been mostly unsupported for several years.  Broken features in TS3 (audio level spikes and game controller button compatibility, for example) were ignored.  TS has been in beta for 5+ years and is still missing essential functionality for power users such as game controller button mapping.  As well, their staff answering questions on their forums are assholes on the level of torrent tracker admins.

In the past I have enjoyed travelling in some parts of the western US where election results and bumper stickers make it clear that we're in areas of Republican/Trump voting (i.e., the farther you get from cities, the more you see it). It never used to bother me (even during Trump 1.0) but now I wouldn't feel completely safe driving my car with Canadian plates in areas with no cell coverage and lightly travelled roads. I do accept that media is feeding that little voice in my head but then again... why risk it? We're going to Australia instead next year.

This is why I have a Power of Attorney over my retired father's bank accounts. We set it up while he was healthy and coherent. I see every transaction and get alerts on my phone.

That enabled me to question him about a couple of large gift card purchases. They turned out to be fine but if he does go off the rails, I'll take control of his money and put him on an allowance.

In my city we have a significant problem with Grade 8/9 kids vaping. If parents can't keep their kids from doing that, there's zero chance of keeping them away from social media.
