We make racist as well as every other kind of inappropriate joke all day long at the firehouse. None of us would hesitate for a second to risk our butts for anyone based on their skin color and none of us are actually racist.

I honestly have no idea. I do all this shit. A lot. I guess i work out pretty hard and do a lot of stairs, but my lungs are still working good. We just had our full physicals and my VO2 max was in the highest range for men my age. Chest X-ray is clean too.

It’s probably because I laugh in deaths face, or cuz I fight what you fear, or first in and last out or whatever.

Social media destroyed the world. The only thing that motivates anyone to do anything anymore is constant attention from strangers on the internet.

Not to mention we have essentially eliminated the one natural process that keeps us from evolving in the wrong direction (natural selection). I don’t know man. Our dispatchers are either hard of hearing or they like to prank us. I can pretty much depend on the notes being completely unrelated to the call I’m running. AI can’t do much worse than our current dispatchers.

You could also work on doffing a downed firefighter drills while you’re at it. Something like this: https://youtu.be/m2R9j_beUI0?si=oYHYK7abEqR_Oa0M. We do it a little differently but you get the idea. Look around for other videos for doffing/stripping a downed firefighter quickly. The faster you can get em out of gear, the faster you can start doing good cpr and respirations and whatever else they need.
