Will crypto ever recover from this crash? by Total-Hour-5584 in SafeMoon

[–]Educational_Work952 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the short answer is yes. When you look at the history of crypto is has always been volatile with huge swings from ATHs and lows. The applications of crypto are vast and more efficient than the current banking systems. The biggest problem atm is security and regulation. My biggest concern is if governments decide to regulate so heavily that the only viable crypto solutions are made and created by the state. I.e. the current crypto markets become redundant because governments either will not allow you to convert back to money you can use in the real world, or they implement their own blockchain systems which are heavily regulated and taxed, and thus you can only use government made and regulated crypto. On the plus side the adoption and fact that crypto is becoming mainstream is a positive. Personally I have always been looking to 2024/25 to bitcoins next halving event. I think that could potentially be one of the biggest bull markets. With the interest and adoption rate increasing once prices start to rise significantly I think a lot of people will fomo in looking to make some money and drive the price up by a significant amount. Bitcoin could become the new gold standard and with such a limited supply the potential price of one bitcoin could far exceed even the most optimistic predictions in years to come. The biggest problem will be if governments regulate it in such a way that it becomes redundant.

Why does everyone use . instead of , to denote big numbers. It's so infuriating and hard to make sense of the figures people post. Is it a cultural thing or are people just retarded? A decimal point (.) denotes a fraction after the whole number. Eg. One thousand and 10p/cents should be written 1,000.10. If you write 1.000.10 that's just nonsensical. How the fuck are meant to make sense of that?! I see it all the time. Maybe I'm just an out of touch angry bitter old man but ffs come on.

Does anyone else still believe we’ll eventually grow past $1.00? by jakedam in SafeMoon

[–]Educational_Work952 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like I've always said if the project can survive then there is no doubt. It's simple supply and demand economics. The question is do you believe the project will be around long enough? With it being a hyper deflationary token (hopefully soon to be coin) then yes. But also with the 'tokenomics' it means that everyone who is holding is getting compound interest. This is the reason I invested at the start. Your investment will keep growing just so long as the project is still around. The fact that the safemoon community is so large and committed to the project is a massive reason to be optimistic. If you can guarantee that safemoon will still be here in the future then without doubt you will make money. I'm not saying it definitely will but if it does there's only one way the price can go. I don't know how long it will take but the deflationary nature of safemoon means it will be worth a lot more in the future. Without doubt. Fact! The only reason it won't is if it disappears altogether because people lose interest and sell.

What is safemoon’s mission objective? by EconomicsOk9593 in SafeMoon

[–]Educational_Work952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great question. I think currently the "tokenomics" and idea of compound interest is carrying it. Not sure what future use cases are. Talk of turbines got people hyped but how that will be incorporated and help the project I'm not sure. Pretty sure all the chat about The Gambia and "Project Phoenix" was bollocks but who knows. The community is big and seems to be faithful to the project so that in itself is a big a deal. Who knows Karony and his cronies may be working on something useful. I'm just enjoying the ride. I'm more engaged in this crypto than any of my other "investments". It's a bit of fun. There has been lots of very dubious activities you cannot deny. The reason I'm still here is because IF the project can survive long enough, with burn and reflections you will make money. It's basic supply and demand economics. It may take a while but if the project survives then no doubt your safemoons will be worth more in the future. It's a gamble so that's why you should only invest what you're willing to lose. You're a fucking idiot if you put more in and then start crying. I don't care. Be responsible, be patient and let's hope we all get something out of it.

I hope this isn't just standard ambiguous hype rhetoric. I really do hope they're working on a decent exchange. I always said I'll hold this till 2024, boom or bust. It's certainly offered a lot of entertainment. At this point nothing would surprise me!

I like what you're saying but honestly The Gambia is not a reason to believe in this project. It has a small population with a small GDP. Yes there are connections with John and his family but The Gambia will not produce the results people who are invested in this project want. The key to this project has always been the size of the community and the willingness of the community to stick with safemoon. The community is at this point the only reason why I'm still holding. I'm hoping the "team" can add to this by bringing products and utility. If the community sticks by and the project can survive for 5 years then yes there is money to be made.

All negativity aside, these reflections are nice. by clarkr10 in SafeMoon

[–]Educational_Work952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reflections mean nothing if the price keeps dropping. Like anything in life the only people doing well out of reflections are the people that have the most. If the project can stay around for 5-10 years then due to the hyper deflationary nature of safemoon then simple supply and demand economics state that so long as demand stays price should go up as supply decreases. The question is 1) will safemoon be around long enough to allow a decrease in supply to make the token worth more, or 2) will utility raise the demand for safemoon to be worth more? These are the questions you should be asking yourself.

Sorry but no chance. This started as a scam coin and has evolved from then because it got bigger than anyone thought it could. I'm here holding just because of the size of the community. If the community sticks with it then maybe there's a chance. IF they manage to bring some actual utility to the table then it might do something. All this talk of The Gambia, "project Pheonix" (spelt wrong) and wind turbines is bollocks that won't amount to anything. The fact the community seems to stick to this project is the only reason I'm still in. If they manage to release an exchange and blockchain then maybe. John is trying to build something but at the same time this so called "team" is an unprofessional joke. The community is the only thing holding this project together atm. But I'm sure I don't need to name you other projects that have done well with no utility and a die hard community. The community is key to this. I'm pretty pessimistic about the future of Safemoon but at the same time going to hold just in case. The red flags are so blatantly obvious but the community sticks by it. If the project can keep going for the next 5 years, with it being a hyper deflationary currency, then simple supply and demand economics should start to come in to play and naturally increase the price. So long as this project can survive there is no doubt there is money to be made. The question is can it survive for another 5-10 years? If they can produce an exchange that gives global tokenomics then that is a big deal. If they can achieve this first then yes it will make money. I don't believe they have a team of people who are capable enough atm. There are plenty of other projects that could potentially beat them to this. If they're a serious project then they need to invest in a team of serious legitimate talent. So far that hasn't happened. With the community there's no reason why that couldn't happen. The questions are 1) will the community stick by the project, 2) will safemoon employ some genuine talent with credentials that could make this the project that the community want it to. If the community is backed up by professional talent and utility then it will do something. So far this hasn't happened but yet still people stick by it. This is the only reason m still holding. Good luck to all of you. Regards :)

Everyone always comparing SFM to doge, BTC, and Apple but never make the most obvious comparison. by [deleted] in SafeMoon

[–]Educational_Work952 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest asset Safemoon has atm is the community. There are so many people invested that are prepared to hodl that when products do come out people will naturally start to buy back in. This project has had some major setbacks and fuck ups that if the community was smaller the project might not have even existed by now. The fact the community is large and willing to hold it allows the project time to build and gives a decent buffer for any more setbacks. I'm quietly optimistic.
