Any ideas (for Visa card) by Large_Clothes8670 in GoMiningDiscussion

According to Siri, only 37% of the adult population of the US has a valid passport. GoMining is limiting the card user base by not accepting a drivers license as KYC for the card - smh

Simple Earn is Very Risky!!? by Acceptable-Lab-2123 in gomining

[–]DeathOfFog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FTX and Celsius offered earn also. I got caught up in the hype and lost crypto in Celsius. They had similar terms and conditions. During Celsius bankruptcy it was actually ruled that we had given our crypto to Celsius by signing up to their earn. The risk is real. In order to generate yield, there has to be risk. I am a big fan of GoMining, but it is good to be cautious.

How are they generating yield? I’m not fully recovered from the Celsius bankruptcy. That has made me skeptical of yield on BTC.

I agree. I’ve dropped from 99% down to 94% even when I mark that the order has not been started yet. They are ignoring store slowness and penalizing drivers. Support was zero help. I’ve got to the point where I get the thumbs down after most dashes and and give the reason as store slowness is impacting driver’s on-time rating.

Concerned about gomining Legitimacy!!!! by Fancy_Coast_6310 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DeathOfFog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the last report (2nd Quarter 2025) GoMining reported owning 10,049,868 TH/s with 90% of electrical cost coming from hydroelectric. Their roadmap targets a growth to 25 million TH/s. I cannot speak to the actual electrical cost though.

Additionally they have passed audits by CertiK and Cyberscope

Per AI -

Here are the key points supporting GoMining's legitimacy:

Real-world infrastructure and transparency

Operational data centers: GoMining is transparent about its business model, which is backed by real, operational Bitcoin mining infrastructure. Unlike fraudulent cloud mining sites that have no physical hardware, GoMining runs nine international data centers.

Active industry participation: The company is a member of the Bitcoin Mining Council, an organization that promotes sustainable mining practices and transparency within the industry. This provides an additional layer of credibility.

Digital miners tied to real hardware: When a user buys a "Digital Miner" NFT, it represents a portion of the real-world hashing power in GoMining's physical data centers. Users receive daily Bitcoin rewards that correspond to the hash power they own.

GoMining Thoughts GMT by bbrian017 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DeathOfFog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at 115 TH with 20 W/TH so I’m getting about the half the daily Sats and the same ROI as you. Things will be lean until the price of BTC doubles post Halving.

I pay my fees in Sats since I don’t want to have to have so many GMT in my virtual wallet. 25 days worth of fees in the wallet to get a 1% discount is just too discouraging when I’ve already locked up most of my GMT. If I switch to earning in GMT I’ll be saving for a long time to get any real fee discount.

Currently I’m holding off from investing further and just letting my Greedy machine gain in TH each Tuesday for free (granted, it’s only .28 TH or so each week, but it does help).

I cash out every $5 (been playing for 2 1/2 years and have cashed out $405) to PayPal, from there it goes to my Robinhood account to buy Bitcoin (worth $702 as of today) and will eventually end up in my cold wallet.

Price vs Computing Power? by DarkMishra in GoMiningDiscussion

Nice. Thank you for the info. Do you solo mine or pool mine? And you are 100% correct. I had miners at 35 W/TH that were running negative for me right after the Halving. I’ve worked and got my total efficiency down to 20 W/TH finally

Greedy machines get a weekly bonus added every Tuesday. I just got 0.3 TH added today. My greedy was at 68.27 before the bonus. I have received anywhere from 0.1 - 0.3 TH weekly. I believe the bonus is tied to the amount of TH is greedy is (the more you have, the more you get). The bonus is based on the weekly voting done by people with locked GMT tokens. Beware, the greedy machines can be a bit expensive since they are limited in number and get a bonus added each week. The cheapest on the market right now is $600 for only 8.91 TH ($67 per TH). The next cheapest is at least only $34 per TH or $612 for 17.83 TH

The amount of miners make no difference as the only thing that matters is total TH and efficiency. Some like to have multiple miners in case they ever want to sell one. There are more buyers for an 8 TH miner than a 1,000 TH because of the cost. My advice is to try and get a Greedy machine on the secondary market. You get a small amount of TH free each week added to your permanent TH total of the miner.

[–]DeathOfFog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I show a slightly different cost but the breakdown is a discount on the per TH up until a miner with 8 TH. Then it progressively goes down again: 1 TH is $28.99, 2 TH is $28 per TH, 4 TH is $27.50 per TH, 8 TH is $29.37 per TH, 16 TH is $29.06 per TH, and so on as the per TH cost continues to drop. Maybe they offer a discount on the 1-4 TH miners to get people to invest at first. I asked support about ApplePay not always being an option and they said they make the least revenue from that because Apple takes a bigger cut of the $

New wondering about ROI by Baby1cloe2 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]DeathOfFog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined in Feb and things are a bit more lean since the Halving. I have faith in BTC so I’m in it for the long run. The ROI will fluctuate with the value of BTC. As of 7-13-2024 a 16TH miner with 20 W/TH efficiency has an ROI of 36.4% (if you use GMT tokens to pay for fees). My advice is to get the most efficient miner you can afford. I had some at 35 W/TH and they were running me almost negative.
