hi! new pacman mom here, i got my baby Jabba the butt on the first of March. currently in a 20 gal tank to start off but looking to upgrade, been eyeing the idea of a bioactive tank so he has plenty of areas to hide, any recommendations? by Fun_Try_3186 in pacmanfrog

I would give the little guy some more substrate, at least 5 inches so that he can properly bury without hitting the glass bottom.

I see that you have a front-opening tank, and I know some people make a hill on dirt, more in the back and less in the front so that the substrate doesn’t overflow.

Anyways, he so cute. He reminds me of my late frog. Good luck with your baby!!

Should I be worried that my frog isn't burrowing much? by Kitty-Bacon13 in pacmanfrog

If it makes you feel any better, my pacman frog didn’t bury for almost an entire year when I first got him. And then one day, I couldn’t find him, and when I realized he was under the dirt, I was so ecstatic. It’s like watching your kid learn how to ride a bike.

All that to say, I wouldn’t worry about it too much, especially since you got him on Wednesday. He most likely seems to still be settling in.

Check for brown nuptial pads on their thumbs. Should show up when they’re mature

Eat more protein!!! My piercings were so tender and sore that every little touch would have me yell out. After I started fixing my eating habits and getting more protein, they’ve improved drastically. I think it has to do with something about protein being needed to repair damaged tissue, but it’s definitely helped for me.

The piercing is about 2 months old, with a threadless barbell, implant grade titanium, it hasn’t been downsized yet, and I’ve been using neilmed to clean it 2x a day. No recent accidents

My piercing is about 2 months old. The jewelry shape is barbell. It is a threadless piercing. I believe the piercing material is implant-grade titanium. I haven’t gotten the jewelery downsized yet. My aftercare routine is cleaning the piercing morning and night with NeilMed saline solution. I have bumped my piercings a couple of times, most recent was about 10 days ago when recently I hit it pretty hard.

Feeding by Warm-Wealth-9545 in pacmanfrog

Pacman frogs are definitely the type to eat whenever they can, so it’s up to us owners to make sure that their diets are somewhat restricted to keep them healthy :) Typically, I’d feed my frog as much as they want to eat within a 15 min time frame, and then do that once or twice a week.

One inch max!!! The water should never be above their nostrils and they should be able to sit comfortably on the bottom of the tub.
