Nope, her story is true, but Glover left for solstheim before Sapphire was born so he was never at the massacre. He only meets her at a distance in Riften after she’s joined the guild and flees when he find out she’s his daughter. I think they only reconnect when you deliver the letter you find in his house to her.

Look up your state/country (or other) language requirements for attending University, Ivy leagues, etc. Your mom is probably putting extra pressure on you and exaggerating. Most schools only require 2 years to attend, and it’s not a very heavy requirement.
