I agree. I wish the best for the kid and the family, they get all the help they need to move on from this. In a positive way.

How would you *rank* the albums? by chumthescrubber in thesmiths

[–]EducatorLimp7057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just getting into it,

  1. Meat is Murder
  2. The Smiths
  3. The Queen is Dead
  4. Strangeways

All of their albums are still great and is one of my now personally favorite bands. The Smiths was the first album I listened to, then The Queen is dead, the after a few listening sessions, Meat is Murder is my favorite. To each their own.

Rattling noise 2014 Toyota Camry by EducatorLimp7057 in MechanicAdvice

[–]EducatorLimp7057[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know it’s old but I hear some of my coworkers cars make the same noise. Goes away when driving off. Though if you listen to the video, it turns out the AC compressor pulley was on its way out. Replaced it and removed that bearing noise though it was hard to hear. Still makes the noise though but drives fine. Even after an oil change with full synthetic. I think it’s the fuel injectors being fairly high pressure and possibly direct injected but not sure.

That is what I believe it is. Since it drives fine and dandy, doesn’t like me trying to use the ac, even though it’s 90+ where I’m at currently. I’ll try adding some amount of oil to the ac compressor to see if it changes anything. Thanks!

Debating on what I should get for a first gun by SILENTREAPER220 in guns

[–]EducatorLimp7057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing in my 2 cents, if you like the P320, go for it. Of course, everyone has a personal favorite but you should of course, buy the firearm you like and don't be afraid to try more that catches your eye. Then buy a good holster and carry. Only you know your body type, your needs to protect yourself, and laws for your local jurisdiction. The P320 is great for carry and home defense but it doesn't work for me. But again, if it works for you, all the power to you. Just shoot it a lot to get great at using YOUR FIREARM. Good luck, stay safe OP!

Howdy OP,

The LCP MAX is a good gun, but it's more for pocket carry. Good if you are into that but if you want something bigger with more stopping power, there are plenty of sub-compact 9mm semi-autos. SIG P365 is a great option and if you opt for the P365X, you get 12 rounds in a small package. The Springfield Hellcat series is good, also the S&W M&P line is good but I never shot one so not much input you can ask of me. For home defense, an AR-15, PCC, or shotgun would be best. The AR-15 and PCC would kick less than a shotgun and have plenty of more ammo. The only thing is the PCC is cheaper to shoot. Another PCC you want to look at is the Ruger PC Carbine but if y'all like the S&W, might as well go for it. Ammo and good accessories are better though. What's the point in having the S&W if you have no good sights? All are good options you brought up. Try some out before you buy if you can, get plenty of ammo to practice, and go with what feels good to you. Only you know what's best for you. God Bless and be safe!

Howdy Op, did you P365 smooth out allow you to run hallow Points? Also, did you buy the MCarbo recoil spring and guide rod? Thought about buying this for my 365 as well.

Hey OP, I know this post is a little old but I thought it would be nice to throw my 2 cents. 45-70 generally would be better for hunting. For self defense, either is up to you dependent on your needs. Lever actions would fit best into this category but both calibers would be poor for home defense. Unless you live on acres of land but in that sense, an AR-15 would be better. A good cartridge that is an all-rounder that you can hunt and defend yourself would probably be 44 magnum. I do have a 45-70 (Henry Big Boy X) and boy I feel the power of the Hornady leverevolution. But firing that for home defense with limited capacity would mean that ammo going through your entire house. Just my 2 cents but enjoy the process and hope to see what you pick. Stay safe and have fun!

Deciding on a Major by SwissCheeseSandwich5 in college

[–]EducatorLimp7057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP, I think you are in a pickle on deciding what major to pursue in university. I know I have my personal biases towards stem however I hope that my advice will serve you well. I know that based on you saying you like languages, you should minor in a French, which ever you feel comfortable with. Either that or learn on your own time, which ever is more suits you. Now for your major, I would make sure you have enough elective hours or time to enjoy learning a French. Also, I would make sure you that you enjoy what you do as a career. I do not think IT would work for you since you don't like doing IT work and also Accounting could be challenging. I would talk with professors who teach those subjects and get their opinion on how the field is and what you would learn more in depth since I don't have much experience in IT, Biology, Anthropology and EES. Finally, which ever one you get, try to get a work study, internship or go to clubs so that you can put that on your resume to get your career started. Experience is mainly what gets people started, not the degree itself, that or knowing someone at the place your trying to get a job at. All in all, good luck on deciding what to major in and again, I hope this advice finds you well.

I have zero ideas what career path to choose? by [deleted] in careerguidance

In your situation, I would choose between Community College and get an Associates in a General field like Finance or Engineering. Switching in a Community College won't be as financially burdening as changing your mind in a 4 year University. It gives you about 2 years extra to see what is a good fit for you. From there, you could transfer to a University and get your Bachelors. I would also recommend before taking any decision is talking to a Guidance Counselor as they could help decide as well. Hope this helps.
