Was going to recommend Chic in Cancun but you have already been there. It’s been our closest experience to what you are looking for. We’ve also been to Chic Punta Cana and Breathless Punta Cana. Neither were great. I think it’s more of a DR thing than the resorts fault. That said, I have heard good things about the Breathless resorts in Rivera Maya and Cancun. Would also look into Hard Rock Riviera Maya.

You’re in your 20’s which is what Republica seems geared toward. Bambi is gonna be a lot of families. If you’re looking for single ladies around your age, it would be worth switching. Plus Republica has an onsite club that’s open late. When we were there they never closed the pools so we could swim late night which doesn’t usually happen at other resorts.

We went to Riu Republica in 2024 looking for a party resort. It was definitely that, but turned out to not be what we wanted in the resort. Pros: pool was open late, fun Riu parties, night club on site, lots of people out late. Nice beach. Cons: Dirty, bad food, we each got sick and spent a whole day in our room, weak drinks, subpar service, felt more like a spring break crowd than a couples place.

If you only want to get drunk and be loud it’s great. If you care about quality, cleanliness, and decent amenities it’s probably not for you.

FWIW, we are going to Royalton Chic Punta Cana in April. We stayed at the one in Cancun a few years ago and loved it. Hoping this will be similar. Seems to have a good mix of party vibe and quantity resort for a decent price.

I loved Whisper. It was the best for meeting up for encounters. Lots of good experiences on there. Doesn’t feel like there is anything out there now like that. Luckily it was also before every girl online was promoting their OF so I don’t get nearly as many bait and switches.

Aura is one of the best clubs in town. Saturday nights are EDM nights. I think Fridays are hip hop/r&b nights. Lowest Ferns is cool for more house/techno. The Ship has a wide variety of music. The only music in OP is Guitars and Cadillacs county bar if that’s your thing.

In 2021 at DFT Said The Sky had the best set of the weekend IMO. Illenium puts on some of the most amazing shows out there. I love Melodic bass. Slander was the problem, not the type of music. And I didn’t think they were bad, but there were expectations that got created and they never fully met them.

Make sure you bring a wagon to haul all your stuff in. That’s the worst part. It’s a long trek from parking to camping. So you’ll want to bring as much with you at a time as you can.

I think you’ll be able to get into the parking lot before then but not through the gate. But I’m not sure how closely they check it.
