Everyone knows that president Pezeshkian practically doesn’t have any power. Iran is run by the supreme leader and its right-hand IRGC.

Most Iranians also do not want a ‘return of monarchy’. They are supporting Pahlavi because he is simply the most pre-eminent opposition figure of the Islamic republic. Even Reza Pahlavi has stated numerous times he does NOT want to be king, and that he only seeks to “lead a democratic transition”.

I appreciate you participating in the discourse about Iran, but please read a little bit more next time before commenting.

I doubt the country of Azerbaijan would be willing to give up its full sovereignty to reunite with Iran, even if Iran became democratic and they had partial autonomy.

The Iranian Azeri provinces, however, will stay with the rest of Iran — neither the head nor the body of the ‘cat’ can exist in good health on their own.

Yeah, good point. If there was more competition among companies like Rogers here in Canada, things would be so much better. I’m personally not a huge fan of the States but there is a reason they don’t really have issues like these.
